“very good place to stay”

This is good place to stay and service is great. Breakfast is great!

“great location for the "not tourist" crowd”

for a couple in their 30s who is interested in the walk of fame or going to disneyland, this was a perfect fit. It was in a great location close to downtown, right on the edge of echo park, close to silver lake. lots of great places to eat and shop and have a drink within walking distance. the large room was clean and very comfortable with a great ac. On saturdays there is a huge flea market in the Dodger stadium parking lot which is right up the street. lots of great little thrift stores and boutiques nearby. having free parking was a super perk because parking in LA can be rough!

“Toronto Deal”

Great roomy hotel room! Only downside was the parking garage. Walking distance to many attractions. Easy access to public transportation.

We had only reserved the room because it was in walking distance of Dodgers stadium. It was very clean, well furnished, comfortable, plenty of hot water & towels. The breakfast was minimal but enough to get you started for the day, the coffee was great! We stayed for two nights and yes I would recommend this Super 8 and stay here again.

“Close to the beach”

The hotel was nice. Clean and right next to the beach. Our room had a nice balcony, but it was facing the back ally. I would have liked to changed our room to a room with a view of the beach. It would have been worth it. We walked to many different sites. The area is beautiful!!

“Good for a short stay”

The hotel is very close to downtown and you can literally walk to Dodger's Stadium. The neighborhood is a little dicey, fine during the day but I wouldn't go walking through there at night. The bed was very uncomfortable and they could only give us 1 extra pillow. If you need a place to stay for a few nights, this is ok, but I wouldn't recommend spending a whole week here. The continental breakfast is kind of skimpy too.

“Very good budget hotel”

Super 8 is the best budget motel brand i've ever seen ! I'm a airline pilot and i spend plenty on time on hotels. I've stayed on lots famous hotels like Motel 6, Ibis, Holiday Inn, Rodeway Inn, Comfort.. and Super 8 has the best cost beneficts. For the price, super was much better than i expeted. Nice large room, very confortable and clean. The only complain that i have about Super 8 Los Angeles Downtown is the bad surrounding neighborhood. I realy recommend that hotel.

“AVOID THIS PLACE”

Not at all satisfied with this experience. I chose this Super 8 due to its close proximity to where I needed to be in downtown LA., relying on some of the glowing reviews on this very website. First, the room had an odor that bordered on unpleasant. Second, being on Sunset Blvd., it was noisy (not their fault-mine for picking the place). Third, front desk staff seemed like I was bothering them upon check-in and check-out. This is definitely a place that I will NOT be returning to. For the money I spent on one night's lodging, I had far better experiences at hotels that charged me far less.

“For this price, keep looking.”

Dingy hotel and they tried to charge me for the room even though I'd already paid through Expedia. The area around the hotel looks a bit dicey but I had no problems (single female traveller). I wasn't there long enough to try any of the restaurants nearby, but they looked interesting.
