Property Amenities
Located on a West Hollywood residential street, Sunset Marquis Hotel and Villas underwent a $25 million expansion and renovation in August 2008. Accommodations include 100 suites in the main building, as well as 52 detached villas. The hotel is set on five acres of lush gardens, koi ponds, waterfalls, brick paths, and tropical foliage.
The all-suite hotel features two restaurants, which offer 24-hour room service. Guests can enjoy a cocktail in the dark and discreet atmosphere of the intimate Bar 1200, while the hotel's restaurant serves up an A-list dining experience. The Spa at Sunset Marquis pampers guests with products by Erbe, Porsche furniture, and a full service menu.
The Sunset Marquis Hotel and Villas includes a complimentary fitness facility with free weights and cardiovascular equipment. Two heated outdoor pools are open throughout the year. The larger pool is a popular spot for sunbathing and features private cabanas. A second, smaller pool is positioned across from manicured gardens and provides a greater degree of privacy, closer to the villas. The hotel also offers fax, photocopy and print services.
The Sunset Marquis features a fitness center with free weights and cardiovascular equipment. Two heated outdoor pools are open year round, one of which offers private cabanas.

Sunset Marquis Hotel and Villas offers 100 suites in the main building and 52 villas. All guestrooms feature beds with 400-thread-count Egyptian linens, topped with colorful accent pillows.
Rooms offer marble bathrooms, minibars, and complimentary laptop-compatible safes. High-speed wired and wireless Internet access is available (surcharge).
Set among lush gardens, the villas feature lofted ceilings and stainless steel and granite accents.

Bar 1200 - Located off the hotel's lobby, this discreet, dimly lit bar is a popular spot for visiting musicians and other celebrities. Open in the evenings.

“Awesome”
the Sunset Marquis was a great choice, it is surrounded by Hollywood's great icons. We stayed in a one bedroom suite, the decor whilst a little dated was nice.The bed was super comfortable. There was no problems with noise from anyone else. The breakfast that we got for our accommodation was brought to our room every morning. This is a great place to stay.
“Had the BEST TIME in Los Angeles EVER”
This hotel was one of the nicest, most secluded and private hotels that we have ever stayed in. The staff was very attentive, and the hotel was within a short distance to Hollywood and Santa Monica, and also had every amenity that anyone could want. Definitely worth a bit of extra money, would definitely return.

The staff was friendly. The hotel was modern and trendy with a beautiful pool area. The location was perfect for going out in West Hollywood. We had drinks in the hotel bar, which is frequented by musicians. We were able to walk to Sky Bar and other trendy Hollywood hotspots. The hotel gym was under renovation, so they gave us day passes to an amazing gym down the street. I wil definitly stay here again!

This was the best hotel that we have ever stayed in. It was our anniversary and we had a wonderful time. We never wanted to leave the pool or our room! We can't wait to go back!

I'm not sure I would stay anywhere else in Hollywood or adjacent areas on a trip to LA. I just love the atmosphere of this quiet, secluded, hip hotel, so I'm repeating my approval as detailed in my previous "Boutique Chic" review. Well done the Sunset Marquis - I just hope one day I can afford one of the villas rather than "just" a room (= junior suite as a minimum). The only criticisms I could find is there's not room for that many loungers around the main pool, and they've taken the five spice chicken off the menu !

“Hidden Jewel!”
Luxurious bedding - feather mattress topper with perfect pillows!! Very clean, friendly staff, very responsive! This fabulous hotel is on a quiet side street with a convenient location to all the local sites. Room service menu was excellent. The rooms have no individual control for heat, so it was cold - bring socks and a sweater! Everything but temp was A+
