SLS will be the last...

Posted 17-Apr-2014
Pros: My room. The over all esthetic, the staff, the dinning, and the spa.
Cons: The quality of the room service menu items was not always consistent.
Location: Honestly? I thought about walking the two or three blocks to the mall... But I was enjoying my stay so much, I never left!
I have stayed at many of the best hotels in LA. However it is safe to say the SLS will be the last. Yes, you can expect the usual eye candy and fan fair that accompanies a hotel of this local and standard... And of course there is the glitzy entrance and finely coifed hotel staff that lives up to every expectation... However what MAKES this hotel stand alone, is the staff themselves. The effortless way I noticed they made each guest feel important and understood at the height of their busy hour, without breaking a sweat, or loosing a smile. The warmth at which I was greeted each day. And the above and beyond service! The other gem that I must mention, is the surprising quality of dining options; One night at the Bazaar, and I canceled my remaining reservations for the week. Over 80 artfully created, mouth watering, tapas selections line the pages of the menu. For a foodie like myself, who is keen to try a bit of everything... This was heaven! I had the pleasure of sitting at the bar. There I could watch the chefs dedicate themselves to each dish and occasionally be offered a taste on the house. Than the short walk to my soft sheets and sleek, high tech room each night? I found my Oasis. One good tip; If you enjoy tea, than I highly recommend the afternoon tea service. The setting is perfect for a day with the girls and the delicate array of tasty, and the exotic assortment of teas, is sure to make for a memorable occasion.

Great hotel super chic and uber trendy. We were looked after really well both at check - in ( thanks to Andrew the manager ) in room and up on the pool deck. We were aware of celeb clientele as it's a uber cool hotel but mere regular guests were not ignored to accommodate the famous. Disagree with some other comments as we found hotel very child friendly. Close to many W LA tourist sites. Pool deck staff and manager are especially welcoming. Hope to return soon.

SLS Beverly Hills

Posted 8-Apr-2014
Pros: The customer service at the SLS Hotel Beverly Hills.
Cons: Room Service closed early.
Although check-in took a while, the friendly staff was very helpful even giving us a room credit for the delay. I highly recommend the SLS Hotel Beverly Hills for short or extended stays.

One of the best in LA

Posted 13-Mar-2014
Pros: The location, room size and the food at Bazaar restaurant.
Cons: Even if it was Oscar week-end and there were events and celebrities, they still made us feel special and welcomed.
Location: Beverly shopping center, Traders Joe, Ladders Café are right around the corner.
We had a great stay at this hotel. The location, facilities and restaurants are great. Max from VIP services made sure everything was perfect and prearranged for our stay. Special thanks to Neda at check-in, she was great, friendly and professional. She made our check-in efficient and speedy and made sure we had everything set up for a great stay. Can't wait to be back one day!

Most beautiful hotel I have ever seen.

Posted 26-Jan-2014
Pros: Decor. Unequaled to anywhere that I have been. Staff, Spa, Restaurant and the Decor again. AND Staff three times!
Cons: Nada- its Perfection.
Location: We took a star tour, its close too to Venice Beach and Santa Monica (20 min by taxi)
Great location, beautiful pool, excellent staff...my son was late for dinner and the front desk manager went to the restaurant to explain! When I walked in they asked for us by name and said, "I will be taking care of you this evening!" Wow. The designer of this gem is Mr. Stark, his imagination reflects from the entrance bar to the rooms. It is unbelievable. Sliding glass mirrors to close off the bathroom...a long "Party" table in the room, free and beautiful coffee in the lobby bar. The "gift" shop is a collection of glass displays and couches and chairs. Restaurant too beautiful to describe, as is the bar and dessert area. A visual delight truly. Dont miss the spa and rooftop pool. Also the in house restaurant has tapas night-best meal I ever had. Make sure you wander around-every corner is a visual delight.

Nice hotel. Rooms not clean.

Posted 7-Jan-2014
Pros: The entrance. The restaurants.
Cons: Room cleanilness. Room smell.
Location: Perfect location. Close to Santa Monica. Perfect for all things Beverly Hills.
I was very excited to stay at the SLS Beverly Hills. I have driven by it many times, and thought" I want to stay there". I had the opportunity last weekend. I was impressed at arrival. Fast valet. Beautiful entrance. Amazing design. Then I tried to check in. The staff at the front desk is not up to par. I expect exemplary knowledgable, friendly staff at check in to such a hotel. The staff at the front desk were not that. Now to the rooms. I had to change rooms 4 times! The first room smelled of cigarettes. How can they not notice that, before offering a room to someone? The second was promoted on the website as having a freestanding bath, and a freestanding shower. This was not true. Street noise was unbearable in this room as well. Get a room not facing La Cienega. Moved again. Third room smelled like musty shower curtains. Finally moved to final room, and was happy. The manager on duty made an effort to accommodate me. He offered spa credit, and 2 bottles of champagne, free wifi, which was also supposed to be included anyway as per the website, and truffles. I was ok with those gestures, but would have expected more for my numerous troubles. A room upgrade would have been the right thing to do, as well as comped food, etc. this was supposed to be a relaxing 2 day stay, and the first 6 hours was a nightmare. Overall, I would recommend the hotel. The restaurants were fantastic. The spa was very nice. The overall ambience was beautiful.
