“3 Star Hotel in disguise at a convenient location”
This hotel was a very nice find. It is in a convenient location right at the silverlake exit of the Hollywood freeway. The windows are double paned and you could not hear the freeway. The room was immaculate and better than some 3 star hotels that I recently stayed at. They have enough parking but only staty at this hotel if you have a car.
“hollywood hotel, quality inn”
The hotel is clean and the staff is friendly. The grounds are conveniently located and the parking is free. That is a big deal, not too many of the hotels offer free parking and they sometimes charge $35 a day for your parking. Also, it includes a free hot breakfast which is very nice. They had fresh belgian waffles, scrambled and boiled eggs, bacon, oatmeal packets for you to fix your own oatmeal, coffee, hot tea, milk, apple and orange juice. Also toast, bagels , muffins and english muffins. The location of the hotel is ideal, it is at the intersection of Silver Lake Blvd and highway 101, which makes it very easy to access and find.

Very helpful staff reserved a parking space for our tandem bike in front of the office. Great night's stay!
“Great hotel, great price.”
Nice remodeled room at a great price. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast included cereal, pastries, breads, yogurt, boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, bacon, coffee and juices. Excellent location just off freeway. Neighborhood seemed very safe. Bus stop is just at corner, and Metro stop is just a few blocks away.
“Nice place!”
I liked the condition and style of the hotel. I even took pictures of the exterior hallway because of all the nice vegetation around. I've never done that before. I recommend this hotel, but realize that the pool is small and rather cold, "super freezing" as my daughter says, especially for an August visit. The other issue was the tv in the breakfast room. They blare out CNN which of course tells nonstop stories of all the horrible things going on in the world. I'm on vacation people! Please spare me from this so-called news. I LOVED being able to open a window on each end of the room to get a cross-breeze going. It cooled down the room almost instantly. It was a pleasant surprise to find that the Red Line of the metro was a mere five minute walk from the hotel.
“Infested and stunk”
I had high hopes going into this. There were numerous insects (basically the room was infested). There was also a really bad smell.
“One Redeeming Quailty!”
First of all, I reserved a 'one king bed' room on the bottom floor with an early check in on Thurs AM ... This was a must, since I had to check in & be at a seminar at LA Convention Center by 1PM... I arrived at the hotel at 10:30 Am only to be told that there were no rooms available and wouldn't be until 2PM. Therefore I had to leave my puppy dog in my car from 11:30 AM till 2:00 Am that next morning when the seminar was over !! Not that she minded ... she was cool and I was close by to take her potty., I was also informed that there were no rooms on the first floor!! Guest rooms started on the 2nd floor and I had to use an elevator everytime to take my pup potty (very inconvenient) .. There were no parking spaces available and it was raining ... no bellmen --not even a rack to carry clothes up to the room !! Everytime I left or arrived back at the hotel, there was at least 1 person --most of the time, 3 or 4 people standing immediately outside the entry door smoking !! One of them smoking a very pungent cigar !! The one redeeming 'quality" was the night attendant at the front desk (Sergio) who went way out of his way to do anything he could to make my stay more pleasant. Never again would I stay here !!
