“Will definetly use this hotel again”
The staff were all very friendly and the rooms were a nice size and it was a good location and didn't have to drive far to dodger stadium and was close to LA Live. The valet parking was great, never had to wait too long to get car. Very Nice!!
“convenient”
staff very helpful and courteous
“Excellent service, excellent rooms”
At first my Expedia itinerary was not found in their computer. But in ten minutes they ended up giving me a key to an upgraded room for free.
“A gem of a hotel in central LA”
Room was fine with a good bed and comfy pillows. But what makes this hotel special is the wonderful downtown location, easy parking and excellent staff. By my third night, the woman at the coffee shop was making my half caf/decaf coffee latte before I ordered. Front desk, bell cap and car attendant were all helpful, professional and very kind.
“Great Hotel For Downtown”
After hearing bad things about downtown I wasn't expecting it to be such a great area, but the pavements were clean and the little tokyo area was very nice. It is a short walk (~4 mins) from civic centre metro station and union station. I stayed here for 1 night then a further 4 nights after a couple of days in San Francisco; and I had left a phone recharger in my room by accident after the first night which they gave back to me when I checked back in, as well as taking care of my luggage for free in a secured room (ask front desk). The front desk was very helpful and gave me directions to the nearest postal office so I could buy stamps. The room was very spacious and I loved the toilets- heated seats! I also used the ethernet for internet and my Vonage line- it worked. If you have quite a few things you need electricity for then I would bring a power splitter. Would definately recommend this hotel for anyone who has to be downtown, or needs to use public transport to get around. The public transport is actually very good despite hearing about it being unreliable.
“A comfortable hotel in the heart of LA's civic center”
The Miyako offers clean, quiet and well-appointed rooms. The staff is courteous aand the location is very convenient for visiting Downtow LA on foot. Little Tokyo of course offers excellent, authentic and affordable Japanese cuisine.
“Good Location”
Since I was in LA to see the opera, this was close enough to the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion for me to walk it. The great thing though is the neighborhood, Little Tokyo, with more restaurants than one could try in one trip. Though the hotel is beginning to show its age, service was good and helpful, especially in figuring how to get places by public transportation.
“Little Tokyo bolt hole”
I had work to do, so needed somewhere with good wireless and no interuptions, but close to Union Station so I could get other places easily. The price was a bit above what I usually pay, and I had to search a bit for reasonable eateries nearby, but for comfort and quiet it was very good.
“Wonderful”
Clean, modern, affordable.
“It served our purposes!”
My daughter and I wanted a nice place to sleep after full days of shopping and site seeing. We had the standard-accommodations, and we were satisfied. Bed are comfortable. Public and valet parking available for an addl fee w/ in and out privileges. Fitness center is small and includes a fee. Japantown locale w/ many nice cafes around and gift shops. Staff was extremely nice! I will book again when I travel to downtown LA. Thanx to everyone Miyako!
