“I was thoroughly pleased with this hotel.”
I was thoroughly pleased with this hotel. Clean place. Attentive staff.
“Great Hotel”
We had a wonderful stay. Check in was a breese! The front desk were very helpful and the room was very clean and very reasonable. This is my second time at Miyako and it won't be my last. I just love this hotel!!!
“Good choice”
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. it is certainly geared towards Japanese business people, however we found it to be good value, lovley room, and a good location, walking distance to both union and civic centre stations. Its based in Little Tokyo, a safe area and the Japanese food around was amazing and very authentic. As its not a really touristy hotel, the staff werent all that knowledgable on how to get to the major attractions, but helpful all the same.
“Our Stay in Los Angeles”
We were surprized at the clean comfortable room with so many added amenities at such a reasonable price.
“Excellent Value.”
Outstanding value for the price. Prompt, courteous service. Accomodations met or exceeded every expectation.
“awesome”
very clen and very quite, id stay there again!
“All modern comforts in a great location”
This hotel was such a great deal. The rooms had simple modern design, great beds with fluffy comforters and high thread count sheets. All amenities were provided like a fridge, coffee machine, dvd player with the tv, wireless internet which made it very comfortable. I think our room was upgraded which is why we were so pelasantly surprised. It seemed like a great deal and we were right in the heart of little tokyo wiht great food and all the arts and museums in the downtown area.
“Love Miyako”
After looking at many sites and areas and hotels, we finally settled on the Miyako. Once we arrived we weren't sure about the area, but the part of downtown LA that the Miyako is in has been cleaned up and isn't that bad. The immediate surrounding area is actually very cute. The staff was wonderful and kind, the room was great, and the view was decent. Only small complaints were the beds. The boyfriend didn't like the sheets (they didn't bother me), but I didn't sleep all that well in the bed. Something about it wouldn't allow me to get comfortable. Sleeper shades would've been nice but we figured out how to close the shades tightly. Other minor complaint was the maid, she came early for people on vacation. She came @ 8 am on saturday morning, he told her we didn't want service, and in the period of 30 mins or so 2 more maids came and knocked on the door and opened it. Had a nice massage, and the spa was relaxing. The internet was a bit slow, but I was able to watch the great HD Tv next to it. The room upgrade was also nice. I loved it!
“A very pleasing stay”
The first thing to catch my attention was the friendly, informative and helpful staff. I'll single out a young man at the front desk named Miguel since he was an enthusiastic representative for the hotel and the city. Although we continually asked him for information and enjoyed talking with him I got the impression that the rest of staff were equally eager to assist. The rooms were comfortable, the location was fine We had a car so it wasn't essential to be near any specific location. The surrounding neighborhood offered a multitude of ethnic eateries. I would not hesitate to stay here again.
“Nice place for good price”
Nice, clean rooms- nothing fancy but who goes to LA to spend time in the rooms? Good location to Union Station, where it is easy to rent a car. Nice places to eat around the corner. Safe neighborhood.
