Overall the stay we had was nice. The busy road next door could be heard at night but we were still able to sleep. The wall paper in the room was coming off in one corner. The bathroom looked worn down and nothing like the pictures. We were visiting Universal and for the price it was ok. Didn’t feel safe at night as the door didn’t quite close properly when locked; however the lock was working. Staff was nice and when the cards got demagnetized they resolved the issue quickly.(They did warn me the night we checked in I was just so exhausted for the day prior I forgot) Overall, middle of the road experience with the room needing some cosmetic fixes.

Needs an upgrade badly. Very difficult to find outlets for charging as all of the lamps in the rooms are still from 1974 and offer no outlets for charging, and every other outlet is in use. Hotel does not have card key access after 9:00pm, so if you enter after that time you get run down by rude staff members wondering why you are there. Some light upgrades would make this hotel much more tolerable.

Staff was great, check in a breeze. Room was functional nothing too fancy but overall everything we needed. The property and rooms need a remodel and at the very least some paint and maintenance on the zen garden. Pool and spa were decent, got the job done. Tiki sushi bar was actually pretty cool too. Great for a quick cheap room.

The most significant aspect of staying here was the cleaning service. A service that always did such a fantastic job every day while I was at my conference. The hotel itself is old, but the rooms were spotless and taken care of. The downfalls deal with minuscule and more of a nuisance. The outlets in the room: there was only one on every wall and made plugging in your phone or laptop very annoying. Unless you have a 6 foot cord you won’t be able to utilize it in bed. Also, the outlets are worn and the bricks will fall out regularly. An easy fix would be to furnish the nightstands with lamps that have the outlets built in. Lastly is the parking. If you drive anything larger than a SUV, parking will be difficult for you. It wasn’t busy and had no problem parking, but busier weeks may leave you with little to no space I. The very compact tight lots. Don’t let these things hinder you from staying here. Lord willing, I will be coming back each year for my conference.

Most parking is around back on the second floor and then people take the stairwells down to the first floor if they have a first floor room. There is a 8 1/2 x 11 laminated sheet on the desk about the safety of the area not leaving valuables in the car and making sure you’re door is locked. So it’s a tiny bit sketchy, but 20-30 min to a lot of attractions. There is a grab and go breakfast at the office. It has Nutri-Grain bars and little breakfast cracker packets. No orange juice or breads. We had a downstairs room, and it was obvious that above our shower, there was a leak at some point from the upstairs shower. So they had patched the ceiling in the wall was a little bit warped. I love the fact that has a mini fridge and microwave. I would stay here again.

The room was okay! But it could use an upgrade! Room needed painted and the carpet could use a deep cleaning. I didn't like that, that night I couldn't sit on the balcony because the couple in the room directly across from us decided to have sex with the curtains open. Not cool! Courtyard looked abandoned! The room was reasonable and close to where I was going. I would still stay again.

Hotel needs to be ulrefurbished. Ice machine and Japanese garden out of service. Area is very noisy. Could here the other rooms doors and steps and is very noisy as it’s by the highway. Need to have some soundproofing on the rooms. Excellent location though

The hotel is very run-down, and the air conditioning is extremely noisy, making it impossible to sleep at night if it's turned on. Not only does the hotel not offer breakfast, but it also doesn't provide water. A bottle of water costs $4. Closing the door normally results in the internal bolt automatically locking, leaving us freezing outside for 15 minutes until the front desk staff used a professional tool to open it. The toilet has an unpleasant odor and is quite small.

There was a time where this place was cool however that was the 80’s, the property just needs repair and live and it could be an amazing boutique stay. Dear owners, don’t respond just do the work, replace the missing tiles, repaint and modernize . It’s next to a bar that I didn’t get to enjoy because they closed early. Such a shame.
