“Not what expected by other reviews.”

A lot of the previous reviews indicate maybe not so nice a place to stay but that was not the case for us. Older hotel in lower priced chain so not expecting accomodations of the Ritz. Quiet and comfortable. Noise woke us early Sunday morning but it wasn't hotel noise. There was a big marathon going on down by the beach and people were making a lot of noise over the loudspeakers. Hardly the hotels fault. Definitely not enough parking and felt we couldn't leave the lot Saturday night as wouldn't be able to get our oversized vehicle back in even if there was a space which there would not have been. Had to take a cab. All of this I consider minor inconveniences.

“Nice hotel”

Nice, clean hotel with a convenient location. Would have preferred a ground floor room. But, no ground floor room with two beds.

“Best Location - Easy on the budget”

The room was quite clean and comfortable and most convenient to the Convention Center. We were able to leave the car parked at the motel and walk to everything we needed during our stay. The front desk was most accommodating and friendly. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to other travelers.

“Will be back again.”

Overall very satisfied, carpet smelled alittle musky, might be due to room closed up on a hot day. Otherwise room was fine. Alittle disappointment that pool is locked and controlled by a pad lock vs access with room key. Didn't notice any schedule time for pool usage or notice that pool was off limits. The pool was small for the size of hotel and didn't get the opportunity to use during my stay, as it was locked very day.

“A Great and Inexpensive Place to stay”

The hotel was decent and good value for money. The room was nice and clean, and everything was perfect for a couple of night's stay. The neighborhood was also nice and quiet, and the hotel is not very far from the important attractions.

“Relax at hidden treasure spot”

Absolutly Fabulous! I walked in and the gentleman at the registration desk was friendly, and very well groomed (very important). The room had a balcony that overlooked the city streets. The room was very clean (most important!). I asked for a non-smoking room, and I got a non-smoking! Not just a room that has been sprayed to clear the smoke. Ugh! Very quiet and relaxing. I was kind of disapointed that there was not a microwave in the room, but over all, I have nothing but great things to say. I will definately be staying here again when I'm in town. Thanks Expedia for getting me such a great rate. I almost forgot, the desk clerk even helped me with a check in problem over the phone before I arrived. What service! Close to the convention center and the ocean. Right in the heart of Long Beach. I totally recommend this Travelodge. Great room, at a great price, you decide.

“extremely accomodating, nice helpful and friendly”

this was a 1 star hotel. i left a 2 star hotel due to rotten service and horrendous staff treatment. i received better accomodations and more professional and accomodating staff at the travel lodge. i will definitely consider this hotel again. i have spent some time in hotels over the years and i have never slept on anything other than white sheets. the travellodge had colored sheets to sleep on pretty peach colored. the travel lodge in long beach should definitely be upgraded. i was extremely satisfied with all aspects of my stay there.especially the helpfulness of the staff and overall appearance of the hotel, and my room.

“A budget hotel located close to the beach, good to try!”

The hotel was a budget hotel and has a free parking slot for hotel guests. The receptionist was very helpful and friendly. It is a OB (only bed) style hotel and close to the attractions in the city. Don't expect too much for the money you paid for. It will satisfy your basic needs such as a comfortable king bed.

“first night not so good but it got better.”

The first night, the toilet over-flowed, at 3:am. . But the desk clerk open'd another room for us for the rest of the night. The Room and Toilet were fixed and clean by 10:am. and we were back in our original 3 bed room for the rest of our stay. Over all it was a good stay.
