“An awesome place to stay!”
On late notice we heard about this hotel and decided to try it, and we couldn't have been treated better. It's actually part of the Cal Poly compus in Pomona, Ca. and only a few miles from the activity we were attending at the L.A. County Fairgrounds. It was quiet, clean, had a great breakfast, and the people were very protective of our cars during our stay. We're part of a Car Club of 50 members and everyone said they would go back there anytime for any event in the area.
“unusal location very private”
great
“Peaceful, beautiful location”
I stayed at this hotel during the summer. Since it is on the Cal Poly Campus I don't know what it is like during the school year, but for me it was perfect. The hotel is surrounded by lush vegetation and beautiful views. The hotel has a courtyard with beautiful plants, but unfortunately everything echoes since all the rooms open directly the courtyard. So it was a little noisy in the evening and in the morning with everyone slamming their room doors. But late at night and during the day it is absolute paradise with hardly anyone around except the birds and rabbits. Perfect if you are trying to escape the noise and pollution of LA but still be close enough to drive there in a half hour.
“Quiet and Relaxing”
If you are looking for a quiet, relaxed place to stay the night that is close to shopping and don't mind being a little out of the way, this place is amazing. Keep in mind that the primary use is business, but the rooms were clean, they come with a balcony that has great views of mountains and the city, and you really feel like you are out of the rat race for a bit. very nice. Stores, bars, (small) clubs and the fairplex are all within minutes. Also the U is right next door which was a fun walk. very much recommended. Not to mention, it is locally owned (from what I could tell) and the pool / hot tub were great!
“Country Estate Living in the Middle of Orange County CA”
Stay here if you want to be on a hilltop overlooking a panorama of Arabian Horses grazing, the hills of Pomona, the vineyards and cornfields of the Cal Poly Ag School, and the Pomona Valley. Go somewhere else if you want smog, concrete buildings and warehouses, traffic, cars, cars, cars, and more cars, and throngs of people crowding the sidewalks. The first thing you notice is how quiet it is, except for the sound of the farm animals talking to each other. The floor to ceiling windows of the dining room overlook the University and is quite a sight. This is run by Cal Poly Pomona and staffed by Students of the University, so you get a lot of fresh-faced, energetic young people asking how you are doing. What a change from the Big Box Hotel chains! Maybe I should write a detracting review so we can keep this place to ourselves, but it wouldn't be fair to the Students.
“Great hotel, great service”
The hotel was well maintained and comfortable. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful, especially Ashley at the front desk.I hope to visit again soon!
“Remote, but that's a good thing”
The hotel is located on the Cal Poly Pomona campus, and the first thing you notice at night is the lack of any background noise save the occasional farm animal from the ag program. (My wife is earning her doctorate, and spent a day in the room studying without interruption and loved it.) The room was not luxuriously appointed but was more than adequate for the price. We enjoyed our stay very much, and would recommend it to anyone with business on campus or just a need to spend time in a quiet location.
“Very convenient for Cal Poly parents”
Very convenient, quiet, I would rate as "fine", but not more. The breakfast was generous, but "O.K.". The rooms were fine, the staff very cordial, and because I was attending my son's Cal Poly graduation, the location was perfect.
“Would go back”
Exterior grounds need a little sprucing up. Front desk service was excellent.
“Memory foam!”
I was assigned at the Crestview rooms. I really liked the memory foam mattress on the bed. It was a welcome respite after driving for almost 7 hours straight. The room was clean and comfortable. Bathroom was also clean but spartan. Overall it was a nice place to spend the evening for rest.
