“All you need.”

This was a typical chain hotel. My room was spacious and had every amenity that I needed for my trip. I was impressed to find out that I was only a short walk to the Metro. I was able to get around to everywhere I had to go within minutes. There was a 24 hour drugstore nearby and 24 hour restaurants. It was very satisfactory for my purposes and the price was a good deal.

You can't find any other hotel in terms of the price, kindness and convenience of the location.

“Better than Expected”

My trip out to LA was very nice , I've gotten to know downtown LA a lot more .Thanks the the convenient location of the hotel , exploring downtown LA was a sinch , public transit within walkable distance giving access to multiple hang out spots in and around the surrounding DwnTwn LA area ..The hotel it self was perfect with me , the beds were some of the softest beds i've laid on ,very comfortable ..the room was spacious , big window that let the bright sunshine in every morning and just a clean space to keep me at peace...The ONE thing that didn't set good with me was the tight parking space at night ,... a first come first served arrangement going on with the parking so if all else fails the street would be the resort , still it was alright ...so overall, I went and experienced it mine self and can say thumbs up to this hotel , great area ,local denny's , ihop, wasabi(sushi) , shopping ..all a tourists like me would need to have a great trip..

“Simple and effecient”

This is by no means a luxury hotel, but it has everything you need. Things are kept clean, and everything inside your room works. Cleaning staff are very careful to clean your room at a time that is convenient for you. Cab fare from LAX is under $60.00, so very reasonable. Wi-fi is weak inside rooms, but very strong in the lobby. There's a Denny's, an IHOP, and a MacDonald's all within walking distance. There are many higher end restaurents, also within walking distance. I was in Los Angeles for New Year's - the weather is really pleasant this time of year there - and for less than $20.00, you can take a cab into the Beverly Hills shopping areas wear you'll find high end clothing stores selling one of a kind items for bargain prices you won't find anywhere else. This Howard Johnson hotel is right in Korea Town, and the people on the streets are all energetic, friendly, and respectful. If I came to LA for New Year's again, I'd definitely stay at this hotel.

“Great value good location”

We read a lot of mixed reviews about it, but for what you pay for it, it's a bargain! Close to metro and in a quiet area, was great for our la trip.

no sign from new Hampshire street, so drove on faith into an opening in the building at the right address. Worked out fine. Room was spacious, clean, and functional.

An inexpensive hotel in L.A. that provides a good basic service. We use it as a base to travel around the area. The Metro is a block away too. Nothing fancy. Clean. Quiet.
