This fully-restored 1920s beach club hotel offers 129 rooms furnished with large chaises and hand-painted armoires, long-flowing drapes, and wooden Venetian blinds. Most rooms have marble baths with pedestal sinks, glass-enclosed showers, deep jetted tubs.
Dining
Catch: California-American cuisine served in casually elegant, light and bright dining room, with wicker chairs and tables set with white linen. Views of the Pacific beach and a dramatic sushi bar.
The Veranda: This gorgeous lobby lounge, with 20-foot-high windows providing unobstructed ocean views, serves lunch (off the restaurant's menu), light meals, cocktails, and features live entertainment Wednesday-Saturday.
Palm Terrace: Al fresco dining and a beverage service is offered poolside or at tables in the adjacent garden, reserved for hotel guests.

“My new home base in Santa Monica”
Great location, fun bar activities. Only complaint--loose the parking fee for guests.
“You get what you pay for”
Casa Del Mar is a very expensive hotel, but it's worth it if being close to the beach, close to the 3rd Street promenade and pampered in luxury are what you need.
“A superior hotel”
This hotel is first class. The room was beautiful, the service impeccable and the food excellent. You could not ask more of a hotel. Yes it is pricey, but here you actually get what you pay for.
“Lovely Ocean Front Hotel”
This is a beautiful hotel with a very friendly and helpful staff. The room we stayed in was quite large, the bed & pillows were incredibly comfortable. The bathroom is large and luxurious. An additional nice touch was the ipod compatible cd player. Would definitely stay here again ... Great for a romantic getaway!
“A Wonderful Hotel and A Wonderful Location”
We attended a business conference in Los Angeles in May and I picked this hotel sight unseen. The hotel is located on the Santa Monica Beach within walking distance (better yet, biking distance) of the Santa Monica Pier. The customer service was outstanding and the room service and restaurants were wonderful. The lovely lobby was adorned with windows on to the beach and a welcoming fire. My only criticism was that we had to call room service to order ice when needed. The hotel is a bit pricey but we greatly enjoyed our stay. Some of the extra nice touches were the nightly teddy bear left on our bed, the copy of the Little Prince left on the bedside stand and a rubber ducky complete with snorkel and mask left as a companion for a tub bath! As our trip was partially a business trip, I appreciated the in room wireless computer access. You can't go wrong with a stay at this hotel.

Great hotel but prices high. Breakfast cost me $50 one morning for cereal, fruit plate, coffee and juice!
“Hotel Casa Del Mar is top shelf”
My wife and I were recently hotel-hopping in Santa Monica, and were fortunate enough to score a very reasonable rate at the Casa Del Mar for three nights, thanks to Expedia. I'm a long-time admirer of the Casa, having enjoyed quite a few cocktails in its resplendent lobby bar over the years, but have never actually had the pleasure of staying there until now. It was well worth the money! The hotel has an old-world grandeur which is truly elegant and charming without being ostentatious or pretentious. When you want a change from budget accommodation, this is the place to go. Our room was stunning, and very comfortable, with a partial ocean view, overlooking the pool court-yard. The room was immaculately clean, beautifully decorated and finished with quality furnishings and amenities including a large LCD TV in the bedroom and also a smaller one in the bathroom. The staff were all helpful, courteous, friendly and efficient. The house-keeper even tidied our shoes, arranging them neatly in a row for us. Delightful!! Would stay again in a heartbeat.

this hotel was wonderfull, extremly clean and elegant, the room was beyond my expectations, got everything i need. The pool the restaurant even the beach was awesome. Near de airport and a lot of store like Sear.
