Just an OK place...

Posted 24-Jan-2015
The staff were wonderful and friendly. I'd say they're the best part of the hotel. The hotel has no elevator so you have to take the stairs to enter the "lobby", which is more like a doctor's office reception desk. The room was fine for just me, as I was traveling on business. It's small but clean and comfortable. However, checkout isn't until 11 and on my extra day off for "vacation" I was awoken by the noise in the halls. The walls are very thin. I could hear the man next door snoring! The staff could be heard roaming about at about 8 am. Then around 8:30 someone began repair work in the building, next to and under my room. They were using drills and hammers. So much for resting on my holiday! If you're going for purely business reasons it's ok. Otherwise I'd try the Hilton down the road.

Nice

Posted 19-Jan-2015
Pros: Charming, Recently Renovated, Nice Staff, Nicely Decorated, Good Location
Cons: Water Pressure
Location: Many restaurants, bars, shops and more near by all within walking distance!
Enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were nicely decorated. Note they do not have an elevator - only many stairs. The hotel staff is prompt to carry your luggage in and out however so if you can walk up stairs don't let the missing elevator sway you!

Walking distance to so many restaurants..

Mediocre small hotel, located in the middle of Glendale. Looks like it was once a home and converted to a hotel. There was a lot of noise coming from construction from below, the hotel passed me around and ended up not getting back to me while the noise continued. Customer service is a 2/5

Hole in the wall hotel

Little gem hidden away in the heart of shopping. Be prepared for lots of stairs, no elevator or typical hotel conveniences. Still a quaint little getaway.

The hotel was convienent for my stay, although it was not mentioned that there were stairs leading to the first floor!! It was mentioned that there wasn't an elevator, but I never expected 2 flights of stairs ( lots of stairs) to get to the first floor before I could even check in. Also, there isn't any temporary parking area to unload and check in. The hotel was nice and clean. About, you ask if I would reccomend this hotel, I said yes, but would mention the stair issue and that they may be a deterient to staying there.

Good location

Posted 30-Dec-2014
Pros: Location - close to restaurants
Did not expect that I have to walk up the stairs to go to the registration desk. Room was clean and smelled nice , however it was dark because the room opens out to a wall. Not suitable for people who have difficulty walking stairs.

Very comfortable beds!

Posted 19-Dec-2014
Pros: The staff and the very comfortable beds! Free parking. Very quiet.
Cons: There is no computer station available for those who do not carry devices.
Being a boutique hotel, the rooms seem a bit smaller then usual hotel rooms. However, since we were not in our room much during the day, this did not become a problem. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and housekeeping responded to all of our requests and more. The bed was very comfortable - we melted into it after a long day. .

Nice, but...

Posted 16-Dec-2014
Cons: ELEVATOR!!!
Location: Very nice location
Would have loved to know ahead of time about the steep hike to the room and front desk. Three floors of stairs to lug luggage No elevator; historical building), other than that great place!

Sweet boutique hotel

Posted 12-Dec-2014
Pros: Location and charm.
Cons: Really nothing, unless one is opposed to lack of an elevator.
Location: Downtown shopping, jazz club, restaurants.
This is a treasure, boutique hotel that has beautiful rooms and is in the heart of the city of Glendale. The 22 steps up to the 1st floor of the hotel from the street are well worth the exercise to see this jewel. I love old quaint hotels with nice amenities and perfect location. This is such a place!
