Completely Falling Apart

Posted 10-Apr-2014
Pros: Nothing
Cons: See above
The bottom of the tub was pealing off, and when I turned on the water began to flake off. There was no water pressure in the shower, yet the drain couldn't keep up so I was ankle-deep in water by time I was done showering. The window in the bathroom was broken and had packing tape taped over the cracks. And the sink faucet was piped backwards (hot was on the right, and cold was on the left). There was hair on the walls of the shower, and trash on the floor in the room. The carpet is filthy and sticky and needs to be cleaned, or even replaced. The walls are filthy and need to be painted. There is not gift/convenience shop to purchase snacks, drinks, or medication. There is no elevator, and to enter from ground level is a long, steep, closed-in staircase that is not air conditioned and smells. Parking is on the top floor of the garage and requires a permit from the hotel requiring you to walk down the stairs in of the garage, up the stairs of the hotel, back down the hotel stairs, back up the garage stairs, and then down and up again to get to the lobby, and possibly up additional flights to get to your room.

Strong smell

Posted 10-Apr-2014
The hotel is well located, but it took me a while to find it since it has only one door to the street. To reach the lobby you have to take a big stairs. Parking is outside and shared with a bank. I tried to call when I was getting there to see what to do, but no one answered the phone. The rooms are minimal but well equiped, the main problem comes from the smell of wet inside of the room. It was very strong. Bathroom is so small that it was difficult to move during my shower. The hotel do not have a place for breakfast. When I asked, they pointed me a restaurant nearby that would serve it.

Family of 4 for dinner

Posted 31-Mar-2014
Pros: Jacuzzi tub, 2 bedrooms, it was older feeling, retro, but had no Oder. it was great, they thought through everything we needed was there.
Cons: the parking in the back was confusing. How to enter the hotel from the parking is not clear.
Location: Carousal restaurant, pubs, restaurants, Glendale galleria is amazing. Lots of great places all right outside.
We stayed here because its close to the Carousal restaurant, just 1 block to walk. On the outside I was worried I expected a big glamorous building but instead it was mostly a fire- escape above a bar. Honestly, it was actually really cool. Very Boutique, elegant inside. Very 30's. They gave us a free upgrade to a Jr. Suite and it was like an apartment, elegant.

NIce for the price

Posted 30-Mar-2014
Pros: Clean with amazing sheets.
Cons: Staff was a bit confused and could have helped me out more. They didn't want me to have my bike in my room and then changed their mind.
Location: Right in Downtown Glendale.
Stayed for business for a few days, staff could have been more accommodating.

room in downtown Glandale

It is a quiet hotel in an excellent location. It is clean and nice (European style furniture but a very comfortable bed). Some complain that you must carry luggage up stairways. No problem if you travel light. Free parking in a paring garage is conveniently located next door.

Did not like.

Posted 9-Mar-2014
Pros: Quaint
Cons: I don't think anything could be improved due to its location.
Location: Wasn't interested in doing anything in that area.
Had to walk up 15 stairs and I am 82. Also the distance to walk to park the car. We tried to rest when we got there but there was such beating and banging on the walls beneath, we could not rest. Complained about it twice.
