Terrible parking and access

Posted 4-Mar-2015
Hard to find. Only a single regular size door to enter had to unload bags in a bus zone ad there is limited street parking and maximum 2 hours on street. Parking is located on a back street second level of bank parking. Hotel rooms on second floor. From the front entrance, Steep stairs to second floor. Difficult for seniors carrying suitcases. Night shift workers offered to carry bags but when we brought them on to first floor no one came to help. High price for zero service. Room decor is very nice. However, we would never stay again.

Once was Okay but Enough

Posted 28-Feb-2015
Pros: The room was clean and met all the basic need.
Cons: A valet service at the very least.
Location: Restaurants are it as you are downtown Glendale.
I knew there were stairs but the parking arrangement is across the alley and on the top of a parking garage. If you have to make more than one trip with your stuff, you will soon hate those stairs. Add going out for dinner and breakfast and you have gotten your daily exercise out of the way. There was construction going on until 5 PM which made an afternoon nap tough. No safe. No deposit box at the desk.

Hidden gem!

Posted 21-Feb-2015
Pros: the cleanliness, friendliness of staff, unique architecture and interior design, comfortability of rooms
Cons: everything was perfect!
Location: It is so close to shopping (only a few blocks down), and it is surrounded by so many options of food to eat from all cultures and all prices!
It is definitely a hidden gem, something rare to find in many cities these days. I was so happy to find a very helpful, and welcoming staff upon my arrival. They gave me a hand with my bags and were always eager to help when necessary! The rooms are just the right, comfortable size--clean and well designed! Not to mention the very soft, fluffy beds! Definitely would recommend to anyone who is looking for a unique stay!

Not accommodating.

Posted 4-Feb-2015
Pros: Nothing.
Cons: Comfortable, quiet room and cleaner. Much more accommodating staff that actually cared about whether you would be a return guest or not.
Location: In the heart on Glendale. You can walk to multiple restaurants and shopping.
At check-in we asked for a quiet room. We were given a room next to the front desk and a busy street below. We asked to be moved. The next room had uncomfortable mattresses and an ant problem. Told front desk personnel the next morning, and we were told, "sorry". I would never stay there again.

Just an OK place...

Posted 24-Jan-2015
The staff were wonderful and friendly. I'd say they're the best part of the hotel. The hotel has no elevator so you have to take the stairs to enter the "lobby", which is more like a doctor's office reception desk. The room was fine for just me, as I was traveling on business. It's small but clean and comfortable. However, checkout isn't until 11 and on my extra day off for "vacation" I was awoken by the noise in the halls. The walls are very thin. I could hear the man next door snoring! The staff could be heard roaming about at about 8 am. Then around 8:30 someone began repair work in the building, next to and under my room. They were using drills and hammers. So much for resting on my holiday! If you're going for purely business reasons it's ok. Otherwise I'd try the Hilton down the road.

Nice

Posted 19-Jan-2015
Pros: Charming, Recently Renovated, Nice Staff, Nicely Decorated, Good Location
Cons: Water Pressure
Location: Many restaurants, bars, shops and more near by all within walking distance!
Enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were nicely decorated. Note they do not have an elevator - only many stairs. The hotel staff is prompt to carry your luggage in and out however so if you can walk up stairs don't let the missing elevator sway you!

Walking distance to so many restaurants..

Mediocre small hotel, located in the middle of Glendale. Looks like it was once a home and converted to a hotel. There was a lot of noise coming from construction from below, the hotel passed me around and ended up not getting back to me while the noise continued. Customer service is a 2/5

Hole in the wall hotel

Posted 4-Jan-2015
Little gem hidden away in the heart of shopping. Be prepared for lots of stairs, no elevator or typical hotel conveniences. Still a quaint little getaway.
