Clean, pleasant hotel Posted 3-Mar-2015
The hotel was clean, including the room we stayed in and the lobby and hall areas. The beds were comfy (we had two double beds), the bedding was clean and comfortable, and everything else in the room was clean and very nice. There was a rip in the curtains, but not a big deal. The toilet and tub/shower area was tiny, tiny. I wondered if a large man would be able to get out once he was in the bathroom. The space between the open door and the toilet, and also between the open door and the shower/tub, seemed to be about 1.5-2 inches, so we had to do some sideways maneuvering to get into the bathroom and close the door and then get out again. Also, there was no fan in the bathroom, so it got stuffy in there when taking showers. There was no microwave in the room; you can request and get one for an additional charge. Food from the in-hotel restaurant was very expensive; breakfast was $15.95 per person (there was no included breakfast or food or drink except coffee), and dinners were much more pricey. There was a bottle of water on the desk with a $4.00 price tag on it. Luckily, the hotel is very close to lots of eating places and grocery stores, so this wasn't much of a problem. The hotel is very near a freeway and the airport, so there was lots of road and airplane noise. This didn't bother me much, but my daughter had a hard time with the noise. BUT overall it was a nice, clean place to stay. Weekday rates are high for a hotel with few amenities.
