“Great hotel close to LAX”

Had no problems with the hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good hotel for a quiet night if you have a long international flight out of LAX the next day after travelling around the US for weeks.

“Nice hotel near LAX”

This hotel ist located near LAX. It is clean and good for staying overnight before / after a flight. Free Shuttle from / to LAX. Beach nearby is Manhatten Beach, which is a nice beach with good restaurants nearby.

“Very nice hotel”

Best thing: the entire staff was VERY friendly. Everyone said "good morning" and almost all asked whether they could be of any help just when I stopped for a second to get my bearings. Room was very clean and well appointed. Room was good size - never felt cramped. Bed was extremely comfortable and the ergonomic chair was great. Loved having the refrigerator. Nice amenities in the bathroom. Tasty cookies in the lobby after 5 pm. Breakfast buffet was the only meal I had at the hotel and it was great (I ate too much). Negative things - and I trust me I am just being picky: (1) should have real half/half with lobby coffee instead of the coffeemate stuff; (2) bathroom door automatically closed (which means a steamed up bathroom takes forever to unsteam unless you prop the door open; and (3) the window a/c blows right on you when you sitting at the desk.

Area recommendations

Great bars and restaurants in nearby Manhattan Beach and Hermosa Beach. Nearest Starbucks is a good 15 minute walk each way (up hill going) which meant, since I did not have a car, I had to made due with the hotel coffee (ok, but . . . .)

“Very pleased!”

While there are some rooms under renovation, this took place during daylight hours and they stopped making noise before dinner time (5-6 pm). Very quiet considering you're near the airport. Excellent location in proximity to the airport. You're far enough away from the noise and close enough to get to the airport in about 10 minutes (if there is not heavy traffic). Room was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. It has an adjustable comfort level on the bed ~ air system ~ with soft mattress top. This made for a great night's rest! Felt safe in this industrial neighborhood. Hotel staff professional and friendly. Shuttles to the airport every half hour. Very happy with the cleanliness, service, and staff. Met my expectations and I will return again if the need arises.

Area recommendations

Food court with several restaurants at the end of the street and around the corner. (Sepulveda) The Hawaiian BBQ restaurant offers good food! Very convenient. Of course, they have a restaurant in the hotel, too. I did not visit any attractions; main purpose of choosing this hotel was convenience to the LAX airport in a timely manner, and to avoid traffic. Very pleased with the location.

“Great Family Hotel next to LAX”

The hotel was great & so was the staff. We purchased the Breakfast Buffet as well and were completely satisfied...the only concern is that our room had very recently been repainted as part of the remodel going on and our 1st in the room really smelled heavily of paint fumes. The remaining 3 nights were OK. Very conviently located within 4 miles to LAX and rental cars...I would totally go back there again!!!

“Really impressed”

I have to say that i have rarely been in a hotel where everyone was so helpful, attentive and generally pleasant to be around. I really felt that the hotel staff were happy as a team and it shone! It reminded me what service should be like, no attitude and overbearing unflexible policies... This is a great hotel, well managed and comfortable and well located close to the airport for transit stays.
