“I will stay here again!”
I went on a girls' road trip in the middle of July. This place is clean, friendly and comfortable. Our car's battery went dead on the morning of departure (Sunday). After 2 gentlemen didn't have luck with starting the car, their maintenance guy saved the day and fixed the problem. He didn't even want any money for helping us. We girls were very grateful! This place is close to everything. We plan on another road trip soon and are going to stay here again!
“My new home base for Manhattan Beach”
Pleasant staff and very helpful. My only comment is that the breakfast room could be a bit more open to the outside or nicer decoration. The court yard is under used.

This was a great place to stay. The hotel exceeded our expectations. The room was big and the bed was so comfortable. Micro wave, small refrig. wet bar with sink. A VERY professional gal checked us in. I am hard of hearing and need closed caption on the TV, which they fixed within a short time of our arrival. There is tons of nice shopping and restaurants very close by. A lovely courtyard to have breakfast or drinks in. The beach is a short way away. A good place to stay a and very affordable.

“Surprisingly modern, comfortable and quiet!”
I was VERY happily surprised by the cleanliness and modern decor and amenities of this hotel. I wasn't expecting a lot, especially since the hotel is right on busy Pacific Coast Highway and only 4 miles from LAX. But, it was a welcome relief after travelling in rural Asia for 2 months. Very clean, modern and spacious with a mini-kitchen, lounging area and spacious bathroom. The sunny open-air inner courtyard of the hotel was quiet, despite the traffic on the other side of the building. The "happy hour" snacks and light dinner were a bit limited (just cheese, crackers, celery and carrots with a carafe each of white and red wine, and a keg of beer), but since I didn't know this was even offered, appreciated. The staff was friendly and helpful, if a bit understaffed, possibly (they seemed to be multitasking often).

Nice rooms, good location, the only things that were dissappointing were that there was no pool/spa (ocean was freezing) and the breakfast buffet... well we expected a full buffet, but got a mini buffet, it was ok. The dining room was way tiny! Not big enough for allt he guests. Beds were very comfy, had plenty of pillows, the kids said the hid-a-bed was even comfy! Overall it was a great value, and the linens were fresh and clean, not all crunchy from all the bleach :)
