“Great Location”
This place is right across the road from the Farmers Market and The Grove shopping village, and we couldn't decide between eating at the wonderful TART restaurant in the Farmers Daughter, or across the road at the market. We did both and we extremely satisfied on both accounts. Down to earth and quirky, not pretentious, just a great comfortable place to stay. Easy access to Hollywood and the strip, Hollywood Bowl and many other places.
“Well priced, well located trendy hotel.”
This hotel is really well located: in West Hollywood across the street from Farmer's market and the Grove,an outdoor shopping mall. The staff at the hotel is very friendly and the decor is very trendy. The restaurant next door Tart makes great breakfast. I would definitely go back!
“Great Location”
My boyfriend and I stayed here for one night but I honestly wished I could'vd stayed for another. For one it is directly across the street (so you can walk there) from The Grove, which if you haven't been there yet, is a great place to hang out. There is great places to eat, shopping and movies. It is also a short distance away from Hollywood. As for the hotel- it was very cute. The whole hotel, down to the room is very cozy. It is an open air style hotel- so its not one huge building. Step out of your room and there is access to couches and tables outside on every floor without having to go down to the pool or restaurant.
“ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND!”
What a great space! From the cool kitschy theme, to fantastic rooms (not so little, though basic), terrific bathrooms and a cute patio for early evening relaxing. There is great inexpensive food at the farmer's market across the street (try the Korean Short Ribs!). Really, I have no doubt I will stay here again. Oh - and great, central location for shopping and clubs too...
“Unbeatable No-nonsense Comfort in a Good Location”
Unbeatable no-nonsense comfort in a good location. For the price range the Farmers Daughter was hard to fault. With fresh decor the room was spacious and spotless with one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in - important when sleeping off over 8 hours of jet lag! All the staff including in the restaurant were extremely friendly and helpful, managing to be both relaxed and prompt at the same time. The safe in my room was not working when I arrived but was fixed within 15 minutes of my alerting the front desk. If I had one slight niggle it would be that the air conditioning was rather loud - but I felt this was a truly minor drawback. The setting, opening onto an enclosed courtyard area for outdoor eating made it feel like an oasis. Not a 'luxury' hotel but for the price you really couldn't ask for more.
“Great location, great place”
This hotel was a wonderful choice for our visit to LA. The whole reason for our trip was to go to the Price is Right and this hotel is right across the street from where you have to wait in line. The Farmer's Daughter also is right across the street from the Farmer's Market, a great place to shop and eat. With nice added touches such as mini refrigerators, we give this hotel an enthusiastic thumbs up. It is made to be sort of rustic, with hard wood floors, so keep in mind that it has that theme.
“Loved it!”
This hotel is in a great location, right across the street from the Farmers Market and The Grove. Ideal for walking around in the evening, plently of places to eat (Cheesecake Factory - yeh!), and the shops stay open until late. A rarity to be able to walk around in LA! Oh, and Gene on Reception is wonderful, and very helpful!!
“Themey but nice”
Its really motel like in outdoor layout but the farmy thing makes it work, you are literally on a parking lot however so it's not glam by any stretch, but the dressing up of it all does have a charm
“Hôtel bien situé”
original, confortable, agréable
“Fabulous Find!!”
I would highly recommend this hotel. It is steps from CBS, the Farmers' Market and the Grove shopping area as well as about a mile from Hollywood. The service was top-notch, the staff friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. It is a cute, eclectic hotel with a great restaurant attached. There are TONS of places to eat in the Farmer's Market--you can try a different ethnic food group for each meal. I highly recommend the French crepe restaurant--I think it is called the Parisien, but I can't recall for sure. You will not be disappointed if you stay here--it is a wonderful hotel and you will feel statisfied you didn't pay through the nose like most other hotels in LA.
