“Very nice motel with great continental breakfast”

The staff was very helpful and responded quickly to things that were needed in the room: non-functioning coffee maker, and missing light bulb.

“Whacky Lights”

The lights in the room were weird. They sometimes would turn off all by themselves? Energy conservation? Sometimes they then would turn back on all by themselves. I can see that the whirlpool bath might be a safety issue. If you are alone in the bathroom, and slip and fall whilst in the tub hitting your head, you could drown in the deep water! Have someone monitoring your whirlpool adventure!! Overall a nice motel. Parking in an internal courtyard right by your room. "Haunted," but nice. Dave

“Perfect everything”

The hotel was exactly what I expected. This trip I really was only sleeping in my room. I didn't need the amenities I normally need. What surprised me was the staff. They were so friendly and nice and available and eager to meet my needs. I would definately stay there again.

“Simple comfort”

The room was very clean. Despite something of a wedding party going on 50 yards from our door, the room was very quiet. Once we closed the door we could not hear a thing of the party. All expected amenities were present and functioning. It was a perfectly pleasant stay.

Very modest price for LA. The room wasn't big but it had a big bathroom with a separate shower and jacuzzi bathtub. It also had a good work table with Internet access and a very good desk/reading chair. Certainly a cut above your typical motel at a price less than you'd pay for your typical Best Western. It's on a commercial street but it's fairly nicely developed for a California suburb and 'most anything you'd need is nearby.

“Great service, but older facility”

The service was great. Fast check-in. Needed extra towels because we took our son to the beach, and housekeeping brought them to our rooms almost as soon as we hung up the phone. Breakfast was fairly basic (toast, cereal, muffins, waffles, some fruit), but it was always stocked, and if something was empty such as the milk, I just asked about it and the young lady immediately brought out some more. The facility itself is on the older side - peeling wallpaper, etc., but the room was very clean and the bed was excellent. For the price we paid, we were very satisfied. If we paid for Four Seasons, we'd expect Four Seasons. Instead, we found a great price on the Days Inn in Duarte and we got an older place but very clean and excellent service. Thanks! We'll be back the next time we're in the area.

We were at the hotel because my husband was having surgery at nearby City of Hope. It provided an inexpensive, comfortable place for him to wait for his surgery time, and for me the following night. I felt totally safe spending the second night by myself. Good selection of breakfast food, for people like me, that need something to eat early. Would definetely stay here again!
