“Decent place and good value”
This turned out to be a real find - comfortable, clean, close to the city, and comparatively cheap. I stayed for a week through Memorial Day. The king bed was quite restful and the room was large enough to relax in though I basically just slept there. I asked for a room back from the street and it was generally quiet. Yes, there are sirens fairly often during the day and night, and an occasional police chopper at night, but hey it's a block from the fire station and a block from Wilshire Blvd., the main east-west corridor. No different than downtown Chicago where I work and sometimes stay in a hotel, or any other big city. If the noise is bothersome, I find ear plugs help tune it out. I was only awakened once in the night. The breakfast buffet was delightful with plenty to go around and continual refreshment, including fresh bagels and muffins. If you want something different, McD and Starbucks are just a block away on Wilshire at Union St. Food 4 Less grocery is in the same shopping plaza on the upper level at 6th St. if you want to keep food in the room fridge, but there's no microwave. All in all, I'd call it a heck of a deal. Don't be scared off by the locale; it's a working class family neighborhood with small shops and mercados, amigo, but no one's going to bother you on the street. Just don't hang out in MacArthur Park after dark with the homeless people, despite the mystique of Jimmy Webb's tune.

“Convention Center Perfection”
This was a nice hotel. Staff was pleasant, breakfast good. Price was unbeatable and location was excellent for downtown conference.
“Nice people, clean, not the best neighborhood”
The hotel was fine. The surrounding neighborhood is not the greatest, but the hotel has its oen parking lot ($2 per night) and say they have never had a problem. Staff was extremely courteous and helpful, A good hotel for the price,
“Oasis of Downtown Los Angeles”
Comfort Inn was an oasis in the down town Los Angeles area. The continental breakfast had many choices. Cereal, Bagels & Cream cheese, Waffles, fresh fruit, toast, 3 juices. The price was excellent. I stayed Sat & Sun nights. Parking on sight was really important. I was squeezed out on Sat night, but I was able to park close. The room had coffee maker, microwave, wifi, cable (not a lot of channels) with local ABC, NBC, CBS, PBS, etc. I will stay there again. It is central to the Los Angeles County area. Close to the Fashion District, easy to go west to Santa Monica, close to the Hollywood area, easy to go on surface streets to anywhere.

“Good hotel”
The only complaint I have is the quality of the free WIFI connection in the room was horrendous. Signal was only at 2 bars, could not even connect 80% of the stay. Needs improvement.
“Pleasently surprised”
After reading some particularly scathing reviews, I was pleasently surprised. The rooms were up to the standard you'd expect from any major hotel chain, and while it's true the surrounding area is not exactly Beverly Hills, we didn't have any real concerns about safety, etc. The entire complex, including the parking area, is largely enclosed and set back from the street.
“Very friendly staff-quick to help!”
When we arrived, we requested that out two rooms be close-the staff worked it out so we could be right next door. The folks are friendly, the rooms were clean, and the location was very convenient.
