“Quick stay”

Have stayed there several times when in the area to visit family. Not the Ritz but its a great hotel to stay in. Denny's is right there for breakfast and the staff was great.

“Perfect.”

Older, but overall very nice hotel. All surfaces clean, free of fingerprints, smudges which I noticed right away. Glass & mirrors sparkling clean. :) I have been in $600/night hotels before which did not compare. Easy to get to, Free wifi, parking, laundry on site and no elevators to wait for. A refrigerator is a must in Calif. since we always visit the farmers market. Target store within easy walking distance and Ralph's and Whole Foods just down the street. Overall, it was perfect for our needs.

“Clean and comfortable to stay”

Very clean and comfortable. The only thing is that some room is near the road and a little noisy.

“Nice place to stay!”

Nice to have the 24 hour Denny's onsite. Very convenient to the 405 and 101. Perfect for the occasional night we need to spend in LA. Will definitely use this hotel again.

“Convenient, Comfy and clean!”

Staff welcomed us as we arrived late in the evening with handshakes.... Accomodated our request for a "quiet area" of the hotel... Accomodated our request for a 2-hour extension on checkout time.... Friendly staff...loved having free internet access to bank and emails whenever I needed...nice to have Denny's right there on the grounds, food is great as always...clean room, very...and comfortable. Negatives: fridge made soft grinding noise all night, had to unplug to sleep til morning...Nice to have second floor, prefer it over having someone above you, but you better try to park near the stairway. Parking was almost full all the time. Convenient to all parts of LA with the 101, 405, Sepulveda Boulevard all meeting together right at the hotel. Close to malls and shopping and many other restaurants. Deposit refunded right at checkout time. Really great place.

“Excellent Friendly Helpful Staff!!!”

If you are looking for the Ritz and want all the bells and whistles that you won't use, then go ahead and pay for it. We wanted a clean and comfortable place to crash in between our hours of doing the tourist thing. The Staff were awesome, helped us with everything. The room was excellent, comfy and clean. The pool, hot tub spa and the workout room were a good match for this location. Overall, we would go back to this location without hesitation.

“An oasis”

Pros: hotel accepts your pets (but only in a limited number of designated rooms-don't be late with your check-in or you may not get one of these rooms!); hotel rooms are generously sized--such a nice relief; there are two sinks in each room (one in shower area, one outside the bathroom door); hotel offers comfortable QUEEN beds which are much more comfortable than full/double beds for a party of 4; hotel room was very clean and in good repair (except for the warped bathroom door--time to replace these, guys!); hotel is conveniently located next to freeway and next to many useful shops (Target is on the next block, for example, Costco is a couple blocks past that, and Denny's is in the same parking lot as the hotel); parking lot is like a mostly protected courtyard and is lit up like daylight, making me feel good about the security of my car and my room; landscaping is pretty; price was reasonable, unlike many hotels that offer similar amenities; hotel staff are very accommodating and kind and professional Con (only one): hotel is in a sketchy-ish neighborhood--expect to see lots of garbage on the very busy street, and homeless folks regularly walking by (but NOT congregating--probably true for most neighborhoods in LA, though.) Still, I walked my dogs after dark for their breaks and had no major issues. Bottom line: I would definitely stay here again--great value and nice amenities. We had a good time and felt safe.

“Decent for what I needed”

I stayed at the Carriage Inn for a week while I was visiting California and it was great. The parking was an issue two nights I was there because I came back later at night and there was no where to park. Other than that I was pleased with the room and the people that worked there.

“Very convenient location, clean & comfortable, easy access”

It was a very good sized room, very clean. Even though it was a non-smoking room, we could still detect that someone had smoked in it recently. I was with my teenage daughter and felt that the area was safe; it was on the corner of two fairly busy streets yet noise was not a problem at all. Parking was more than adequate and we could see our car from the room. Maid service was fast & efficient. Denny's on the premises made it very convenient, there are a couple fast food places way down the street but didn't find any within walking distance. Front desk person was very nice but only one person there at the time so had to wait a bit for service. Freeway access excellent, we were there on two weekdays--we toured UCLA & USC and visited Pantages Theatre and had little problem with traffic between those places and the hotel. Excellent value, nice extras (coffeemaker, ironing board/iron, WiFi). Definitely would pick this again if in the area.
