“Brilliant!”

A well located hotel close to Hollywood Blvd which was excellent all-round. Rooms were well furnished and clean with superb staff to boot! Would recommend staying here if you are on a budget. Staff also managed to offer us a private car service to LAX for a small fee of $55 which was the same price what a usual cab fare would have been.

“Great Value, Comfy Stay and Brill Location”

If you are like me, you would have been searching through the net at many different hotels and looking at reviews for all of them. I am not the most fussy person, but I like to make sure the room is nice and clean and comfy and that the location is also good. This hotel is clean enough, rooms are much better than expected. The maids were good considering the mess we made. Hollywood blvd is 8 mins walk or a short taxi ride down the road. We booked a tour with the Hollywood tour company and they picked us up from the hotel at no extra cost. I recommend this tour as it was much better than I thought and you get a good insight into the Hollywood lifestyle. There are plenty of brochures at front desk for places to go. So overall, if you want somewhere nice to stay, that is not too posh and expensive but still has comfy and is clean, then you cannot go wrong with this hotel!!

“Great place to stay!”

This was a fantastic stay. I was there for 1 night only, but I would recommend this hotel for any length of stay. It has a great location. Walking distance to Hollywood Bl. Great atmosphere and very clean. I had to stay in a smoking room even though I'm not a smoker, but it was so clean you could not tell the difference. The staff was very polite and helpful on travel tips. The price was just right. I was very pleased with my stay.

“Insanely convenient to Hollywood Bowl events”

I selected this hotel primarily for its close proximity to the Hollywood Bowl (to attend a concert). This worked out extremely well. The second best feature is that it's walking distance to all of downtown Hollywood, and even Universal Studios via the subway. Overall an excellent value.

“good service”

Although you wouldn't mistake this for an upscale hotel, it was very clean, in a very convenient location, and we never had a problem with parking. The manager took care of a problem I created by double booking, and did it with a smile. We had attended a wedding where several of the guests stayed at a very upscale place. Several wished they had saved their money by staying here. I would recommend it.

IN THE HEART OF HOLLYWOOD WITH ALL THE GREAT PLACES TO GO SEE MINUTES AWAY.I WAS THERE FOR A ROCK SHOW AT "SPACELAND", IN SILVERLAKE. STAFF WAS VERY NICE.PARKING WAS GREAT.IF YOU WANT A FIVE STAR MODERN HOTEL, STAY AT "THE STANDARD". BUT EXPECT TO PAY BIG BUCKS.IF YOUR LOOKING FOR A NICE AFORDABLE CLEAN ROOM TO CRASH ON, STAY HERE. MEL'S DINNER IS WALKING DISTANCE AWAY, PERFECT FOR A LATE NITE BITE.I'LL FOR SURE STAY HERE THE NEXT TIME I'M IN TOWN.

Only 5 minutes walk from Hollywood Boulevard with its Walk of fame, Chinese Theatre and Kodak Theatre.Easy access from North (Hollywood Bowl 600 yards,Universal Studios under 2 miles)Less easy to get out across busy road to return North.Reception speedy and efficient. Room in very good decorative order and comfortable.Fridge,Microwave,Iron, Hairdryer,large screen TV and free wireless internet.A good base for the attractions of Hollywood

“Best bet in Hollywood!”

I was very impressed with the hotel. The rooms were very clean, we had plenty of towels, and free parking. The beds were extra comfortable and they provided lots of pillows. This hotel is close to all the Hollywood attractions. The only drawback was we had a non-smoking room that smelled like smoke. In all, the price was right and I'll be back!

I had average expectations for this hotel, but I was impressed. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was nice and new. Great price and locaion in Hollywood.
