“excellent all round hotel”
large clean rooms,grounds maintenance excellent, friendly helpful staff. Room comes with complimentary breakfast, including bacon, eggs, waffles and much, much more. There room service is a good value also. Eat at the restaurant for all your meals most things are around $10 and the atmosphere and service, plus view of canal are superb!
“Friendly Staff, Great Location, very close to CSULB.”
We have stayed in Long Beach many times, this was our first at this hotel. The location was great. The hotel is a little older, but pretty well maintained. Beautiful grounds, Very friendly staff. Our shower was a little small, but we didn't mind that too much. Their Breakfast was pretty good. Our room was right by the elevator and I was a little worried about the noise when we were going to sleep, but I didn't hear a thing and I am a very light sleeper, especially in hotel rooms, so I was very happy about that.
“Had everything I was looking for in a hotel stay...”
I loved the free wifi, i loved the free parking, Room had microwave and mini fridge, (that saves me alot of money on food when traveling). The room was spacious, great price and most of all the Free Continental breakfast was better than most. Bacon, Hash browns, eggs, bagels, cereal, make your own waffels and alot more... Excercise equipment was nice, I have nothing negative to say about this stay, Truely wonderful!
“Excellent!”
We were visiting the UC Long Beach campus so this was the perfect location. Almost a walk to the school. Very reasonable for a Belmont Shore area hotel. Nearby restaurants and night clubs and a shopping center a block away. The hotel itself was clean, modern,and featured a very relaxing courtyard. Service was un-noticably efficient. Things just got done without request. Complimentary buffet breakfast is a welcome way to start a day without crushing the budget, too. Highly recommend this hotel!!!
“Perfect for us”
We were visiting our son's family in Long Beach. We chose Golden Sails instead of their small apartment and invited our 4 year old grandson to a "sleep over". The hotel appears to have been around for a while, but everything I saw was immaculate, including the heated pool and the jacuzzi. Our ground floor room had an arcadia door opening onto a lawn/courtyard area with the jacuzzi near our door and the pool down a little farther. The breakfast buffet has almost anything you could want and is served in a nice room with windows looking out on the marina. My grandson thoroughly enjoyed himself, which means we did too. Our two twin beds were very comfortable and our room was quiet--except for the loud air conditioner. That's the one and only drawback I can think of.

It was very nice and the staff was friendly and helpful. Our room service was very good There is a movie theather, bookstore and shopping area not far and restaurants.
“Very nice - would rebook any time”
The hotel is easy to find and close to everything, especially CSU Long Beach, Belmont Shores, Beaches, marina, etc. Staff were outstanding and helpful, room was clean and comfortable, fitness center and business center just right, breakfast buffet overlooking boats in marina excellent! Very nice for leisure trip on a budget, etc.
“Nice & quiet”
True, this hotel is a bit old, but everything works in the room. The beds were comfy and room was clean. The sliding glass door & patio into the protected courtyard with pool & gazebo is so nice. That area is beautifully landscaped and quiet. Absolutely loved it. The employees were great as was the free buffet breakfast. Classy dining with great food choices - delicious. Would we stay there again? Most certainly... and for much longer than our last stay!
