“Nice place”
This was a pretty nice hotel for the money! Very spacious rooms and they are doing renovations to make the rooms look better. The place has a retro feel which was kinda cool, but the rooms do need a little re-do. The spaciousness of the room was a plus; really nice huge room! The restaurant was excellent. The menu is very good. I had a burger, Calamari Fritti and the beet salad. Wow, calamari that is not overdone and not served with yucky tomato sauce...what a nice surprise!! All three things were great. My husband had the club sandwich and it was excellent too. Very good little coffee/sandwich shop there in the lobby too. The grounds are kept very well and the pool area was nice although I just sat there for a bit and did not go in the water. The airport with private jets was interesting to me and not a bother in my opinion, but some people may think the noise is bothersome. I did not think so. One thing that is a bit silly is paying for parking. Anther place for improvement is the fitness center. The room is relatively large and there were just a few fitness machines in there; they could use a little upgrade in that area. Overall, the place was very nice; I would go back when in the area.
“I like this hotel”
I stayed for 2 nights and liked this hotel very much. The front desk was very friendly (Brian took care of me at that time) and my room was spacious, clean, and neat. I was very comfortable there. This may not be a brand-new hotel but I appreciate their hospitality. I will use this hotel next time again.
“excellent for the price”
Really good value for money. The food and bar in the hotel were all reasonably priced and the staff are are so friendly. The planes at Van Nuys airport are sometimes a bit loud but let's face it you're in LA, you shouldn't be in your room that much anyway.
“Great Accomodations!”
We had stayed a few times in years past when visiting relatives. Switched to other chains for 'points'. Came back recently due to economic constraints and I think we'll 'stay'! So comfortable, friendly and well-appointed....
“Clean, Clean, Clean”
Very clean, best value in the Van Nuys area. We stayed for 3 nights and it was very quiet. Next time we are going to be in the Sherman Oaks, Van Nuys area we'll stay here again. The fly away bus service will get you from LAX to two blocks away from this hotel for $3. The ride is anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour.
“I'll stay again for sure”
I loved the service and the staff helped me when I needed the location was good for where I was visiting the airport was not bad as far as noise as I thought it would be. The resturant sucked a little but there was a cute coffee shop that was cool.

“Very Nice Hotel but don't trust the menu prices”
Very nice hotel- Only thing I didn't like was that the room service charges more than what is published on their menu and they won't correct the charges. They say the menu is old. (Why not put new menu's in the room?) Seems dishonest to me- it is only a few dollars but I don't think that is right. The room is very clean and it is otherwise a really nice hotel.
“Excellent!”
Everything in my room was great! On the first day while checking in, there was a little difficulty getting through the 1st floor hall due to a filming crew, but that wasn't a big deal. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable!
“Best food at there restaurant !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and had a wonderful time.Not to far away from area attractions like universal and hollywood. The staff was super nice!! The best part was the restaurant and bar inside the hotel awesome food best I had all week also the bartender was super nice she gave me a free drink cuz it was my birthday!!!!! would definently stay again very nice !!!!!!!
