“Very romantic place, great breakfast”
I really enjoyed my stay at Glen Cove mansion Hotel.
“If I do go back... this is where I'll stay”
Was a lot cheaper than any of the other area hotels. It didnt cost a lot but the quality of the hotel made me feel like it should have cost a lot more. I wish I had gone in the summer time. Beautiful grounds.
“Impressive”
This Hotel is GREAT! A great get-away from the hustle and bustle. Lovely grounds with a tennis and basketball court. Peaceful, serene, relaxing. Indoor and ourdoor pool, hot tub, sauna, racketball courts, table tennis, small but efficient gym, quait two lane bowling alley, great food, nice pub, etc. etc ... Staff was extremely friendly and very helpful. Courteous and professional. A great place to unwind and re-group - corporately or individually. Worth the drive outside the city!!!!
“Better than expected”
I was nervous about this place after reading some reviews about it. After staying there for 2 nights, I can't wait to go back. The room was large, clean, and comfortable. All the fixtures were new, and the light bulbs were even energy savers. I got breakfast delivered both days, and the fruit was fresh. While I didn't make use of the fitness center, pool, etc., it was impressive to walk by. It isn't as magnificent as some of the other palaces and mansions that I have stayed in, but you can't beat the price. This place is worth every penny and more. Also, I went in November. It looked like the grounds would be incredible to explore in the Summer. There is a nice patio area for meals, and probably some gardens when it's warmer.
“Very comfortable, elegant, expensive.”
This is a wonderful place to stay for business or pleasure, but not every trip to Glen Cove. At least not on my budget. The staff is accomodating, friendly, and eager to please. The dining is excellent. The rooms are large with nice touches.
“Satisfied”
We were very satisfied with the Hotel. Staff was very tentaive to our needs. I wished we could have had more time to enjoy the amenities of the Hotel. The Pub and Recreational room was really great with a comfortable atmosphere.
“The Best Choice for The Glen Cove and Surrounding Area”
Great surroundings on a converted estate. The gardens and original outdoor pool are still intact. It is a nice retreat while working in the area. Food service is somewhat limited, but there are many restaurants within 5 minutes. Sauna and Pool are open till 10:30 p.m. great if you are a swimmer!
“A great place to stay”
Based upon a superb 19th century mansion, most of the hotel appears to be a 70's style addition - but no real problem in that. A little refurb of the rooms will be needed soon, but still a great place to stay. The entrance, reception, dining room and so on are great; and all resting in beautiful grounds. If you do not have to be in New York City - then stay here.
“Charme et caractère”
Très agréable. Une réserve: chambre pas chauffée à l'arrivée.
“The Perfect Weekend”
I just concluded my weekend at the Glen Cove Mansion and I can honestly say it was perfect. We live near in the area but just wanted a quick getaway. The mansion is on 55 acres, all of which is perfectly clean and manicured. At night the trees and walkways are lit up and it looks beautiful. The staff were all friendly, polite and helpful. For instance, after we'd checked in we realized we'd like a fridge in the room. I called the front desk, and for no additional charge, within 20 minutes it was brought to our room and ready to go. The indoor pool, billards table and gym were all easily accessible and in good condition. The town of Glen Cove is nice and quaint. It is very close to Roosevelt Field Mall and many places to eat. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone.
