“Perfect location for people wanting to be close to Victoria Station in a quiet area!”
Very pleasant boutique type hotel, small enough to be personal, clean, efficient and friendly. Breakfast was included and was fabulous! Dinner is available plus a bar for one last drink before heading to bed. We stayed in a 3 bed room for 3 adults travelling together, and although small it was very well appointed with tea and coffee facilities in the room and top quality prducts for the bathroom. Couldn't fault it, would definately go back. Especially interesting for people who don't have much time in London and need to get back to London Gatwick (Gatwick Express from Victoria). In a lovely quiet back street but easy walk to the train/coach and underground stations at Victoria. Nicely decorated in muted colours. Very friendly reception and girls at breakfast - don't hesitate stay there!
“Delighted.”
The management and staff were excellent and most attentive. The location if wonderful and easy for transportation or walking. Best elevator we have found in a small European hotel. On Thanksgiving the restaurant offered a special Thanksgiving meal which was delightful. Would absolutely recommend.
“The Windermere!”
This is a gem! Excellent owners who care and staff that care too. A chef that can produce amazingly good food, entirely unexpectedly, with a smile and with real friendship. We will certainly return and enjoy the excellent hospitality that the Windermere offers visitors.
“A perfect hotel for a London stay”
Fantastic hotel. Good position and really wonderful staff. They couldn't have been more helpful, cheerful and friendly - everything from helping carry our bags, to recommending theatre, to storing our luggage while we did a three day trip away then back again. Due to the weekend away we were in two different rooms over our stay. Both were great (superior room being especially so). Very comfortable and spacious. 5 min walk-10 min stroll to Victoria station. Older building (but has a lift), quite charming. In house restaurant is good too. If you're after good location and great service, free wi-fi and cooked breakfast included - I couldn't recommend this more.
“great place to stay”
Great location, helpful staff and lovely accommodations
“Delightful two days in London”
We arrived at 8:00 AM and left our bags with the hotel staff while we explored london until our 3:00 PM check-in time. Hotel staff were all very helpful. The included breakfast was quite good, a buffet selection plus eggs, sausage and bacon cooked to order. Our room was a larger room with a king bed, plenty of space and a very nice modern bathroom with shower. In room coffe/tea service was provided. Our room faced the street, but was very quiet. We will use this hotel again on our next trip to London.
“Hôtel chaleureux”
Délicieux breakfast Lit trės confortable Personnel sympathique
“A First Time to London Impression”
We arrived to a friendly greeting and accommodating attitude, and were made to feel welcomed and valued. All staff were helpful and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. They were available with useful information regarding the city, its highlights and the best ways to get around, including a convenient way to get to the airport when not going by tube or rail. The location is ideal for out-of-towners; near to Victoria Station and convenient to neighborhood shops, markets, restaurants and pubs. The room was a bit smaller than I like (a la Europe), but was clean and well maintained for an older building. The building and the neighborhood have lots of character. Overall, a great value for a mid-budget traveler: location, friendly staff and ambience.
“Pefect for an overnight stay”
Staff were perfect. Breakfast excellent but room rather tired looking
