“Good quality budget hotel”
Good quality budget hotel. Very nice, clean rooms. Not our first visit here, definitely nor will it be the last.
“Nice Hotel”
Convenient and always very friendly. Rooms are small but functional. Free wifi is easy to use. Lift is a bit cranky and slow but there are not that many floors. Great location for King's Cross, Euston, UCH, Bloomsbury and plenty of good places to eat if you head south.
“Value for money”
Very courteous service and helpful staff. Rooms were very small although clean and comfortable. I was there in spring when it was quite warm, and the rooms and corridors were a bit stuffy. Nonetheless, it was excellent value for money. Breakfast was very good too.
“Freindly Staff , Great Location, Tiny Rooms”
The staff were very friendly, patient and accommodating - both at the front desk and in the breakfast room. My hotel room was a double and it can only be described as tiny. Access to the bed was from one side only and there would have been just enough room for two people to stand up at once. Similarly, the shower is the smallest I have ever seen - I would say that the shower tray is not more than 18 inches square. I am 5' 4" (+/- 164 cm) tall and of medium build and I could barely turn around in it. However, for my purposes, all of this was just fine. If you are much bigger or taller than I am, you might not be able to use this hotel. There are no frills but the room and bathroom were both clean, if slightly worn, and the location is excellent for access to Euston Station and King's Cross. The price is also right - it compares very well with other similar options. Happily, the pub next door is good and it serves micro-brewery beer that is a treat in its own right. So, if you want to be safe, if you want friendly advice and if you would rather spend your money on food, great beer and local attractions than on lodgings, then this could be just the place for you. I will certainly use this hotel again.
“Not attractive, but good.”
Nothing special, but if you spend the time in London for activities, this hotel is very good on location.
“A comfortable friendly hotel which we willl return to this hotel in future.”
The friendliness of staff and the service provided was very good. On arrival reception staff were very welcoming and helpful. The bedrooms are small but adequate. Unfortunately the shower cubicles are very small and require some dexterity whilst showering. However we have stayed here previously and this does not put us off returning again. The service at breakfast is good and the menu and food quality is excellent.
“convenient location and friendly staff”
location was good, near the train/bus station, near restaurants, grocery stores. staff are friendly, free english breakfast was good, good way to start the day
“Friendly, but in need of renovation”
Very friendly service and fantastic breakfast but rooms need a good scrub down and renovation. Also could do with air conditioning as it was very very very hot in the room which made sleeping difficult (and the weather wasn't even particularly warm!!. Count an extra 10 pounds per night taxes.
“Cheap by London standards..but it shows!”
I needed a cheap hotel close to the British Library and, in that respect, it fitted the bill. Although "cheap" by London standards, it does emphasise just how ridiculously expensive the UK in general, and London in particular, has become. My room was just big enough for a double bed, dressing table and wardrobe and not much else and was very hot - no airconditioning, although the window looked out onto a quiet area, rather than the noisy Euston Road, so it was ok to leave it open. Creaky floorboards and a shower so small, it was impossible to wash without cracking your elbows emphasised the "budget" nature of the hotel
“For sleeping only, it's OK.”
Rooms are extremely small, just a few centimeters space between bed and walls. Bathroom and shower were new and good. 10min walk to St Pancras International.
