“Un séjour agréable”
L'hôtel est très bien situé par rapport à l'aéroport et par rapport au centre ville. Des moutons décorent la chambre (l'animal pas la poussière)ainsi que des photos coquines des années 1900 dans la salle de bain :un joyeux luron ce SIR GORING. Le personnel est très sympathique et attentionné. Nous y retournerons avec plaisir. La chambre et la salle de bain sont confortable. Fruits offerts le jour d'arrivée et de départ.
“wonderful service and ambience!”
LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT THE GORING. WOULD DEFINITELY GO BACK. EVERYONE WAS SO FRIENDLY, AND THE SERVICE WAS GREAT IN THE BARS AND RESTAURANTS. AFTERNOON TEA WAS LOVELY. SO GREAT TO EXPERIENCE THE GENTEEL LUXURY OF THE BRITS!
“really nice London hotel”
very nice independently owned hotel. I've stayed here several times over the last 20 years. The staff is very helpful and generally are the same people i dealt with on my first stay here. I really like the quiet location with the garden behind the hotel. very convenient to Victoria Station
“Extremely impressed!”
My wife and I stayed at the Goring recently for a combination business/leisure trip. I can't say enough good things about it. It's in a great location (walking distance to Victoria Station as well as tourist attractions like Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, etc.) and it's an absolutely beautiful hotel. The service is wonderful, the lounge and bar are great for drinks or afternoon tea, and the atmosphere is very British. We were there a week and the staff knew our name and recognized us each time we'd come or go. It's as nice as any luxury hotel I've stayed in anywhere. On top of all that, it's one of the most quiet places I've stayed, in spite of the fact that it's one block off the main road to Buckingham Palace.
“Cant wait to go back!”
Very nice Hotel - good service and nice relax atmosphere will go again - so Handy for Victoria station and all communations!
“Wish I were still there”
great location: proximity to buses, trains, tube @Victoria station; beautiful garden and well-maintained building; lovely, friendly, accommodating staff; quiet street w/small park nearby; beds are VERY comfy. can't wait to go back
“Excellent service”
Outstanding service, convenient to public transport. Make sure the have high tea there.
“Wonderful Service, in a great hotel.”
I only stayed for 1 night on business and chose The Goring because of the location. This is the first time I have been there although stayed in most of the top London hotels over the years. The service was discreet but first class, the room was not the largest but quiet, very comfortable and well appointed. It will definitely be top of my list the next time I stay in London.
“All-too rare: a hotel with charm and character”
If you're sick of hotels that look and feel the same regardless of where you go, The Goring is a tonic. Small, but with old world charm and true English character, retained despite a substantial renovation of the common areas. Rooms are fine, a bit subdued, but very comfy. And the staff is wonderful! Attentive, polite, friendly. This all comes at a price, but you won't feel ripped off. Great location near Buckingham Palace.
“Pam's deam trip to London”
The Goring Hotel was everything I had expected - delightful, helpful staff; lovely building; wonderful restaurant and bar; great location. Room service was quick and responsive; concierge was helpful; doorman knew who I was and welcomed me back every time. Since I was traveling alone, this was comforting to me. Only complaint was the TV - only got 6 channels; I don't know if I was doing something wrong but I wish I had asked about it. Still, I was not in my room enough to really care! I would definitely stay again - preferably in the summer when I could enjoy the terrance and gardens.
