“Excellent value for your money!”
If you're not a picky traveller, this is the place to stay at London. It is an old but beautiful building and even if you book a non-refubrished room, they are comfortable (though the mattresses are kind of shabby) and well equipped. Rooms are always clean, but the aisles tend to be a little bit messy. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The neighborhood is astounding. It only takes a short walk to get to Hyde Park and it is quiet and peaceful. I would definitely stay there again.
“Loved It !!!”
I enjoyed my stay at Royal Court Apartment. The staff was amazing. The next time I go back to London I will stay there again, the price was great...
“Great Hotel”
This hotel is very close to 2 subway stations which made it very easy to get around the city. It's a two minute walk to Hyde Park which was nice. The room was great. We had an upgraded room with a double bed and a single bed in one room, as well as a kitchenette and a dining/living area. We really liked being able to keep fresh food in the room so we didn't have to eat out all the time. The bathroom wasn't as nice as the rest of the suite, but it was still fine. We also had a balcony where we had a nice view. The employees were also very friendly and helpful. We plan on staying here if we ever travel to London again.
“Excellent for the money and for the service...will definitely go back”
my stay went very well. my room was CLEAN, bed was firm but comfy and staff were always friendly and helpful. It's not a fancy place but very practical in location and the location to Paddington station was perfect - about 10 minutes walk. it's also in a very nice part of town [Bayswater] and also walking distance to Hyde park and Lancaster Gate Tube. i would DEFINITELY stay here again on my next trip.
“Excellent value for the money”
Small rooms and tight hallways are common, but this quiet neighborhood adjacent to Kensington Park was perfect for us. This facility was undergoing renovation during our stay, which caused a mess in the hallways but did not impact us much. Room 101 was neat and clean, with a small kitchen and full bath - just what we needed. No food served on site, but a small grocer just a couple blocks north provided breakfast food we prepared in the room. Easy walk to both Paddington and Lancaster stations.
“The perfect stay for the budget traveller”
What a nice place to stay.Upon check in I was given a free unrequested upgrade, what great customer service. The room was amazingly large considering what I paid for it. The room was divided into a bedroom, a separate kitchenette and sitting room and a full service bathroom. I was surprised at the quality of the room considering the price I paid and the other reviews I read. With the kitchen area I spend as much on a weeks worth of groceries as it would have cost for two meals eating out. If you are a budget conscience traveller like myself than this is the hotel for you. Also even though my room faced the street side of the building it was remarkably quiet. The double windows really reduce the sound and the black out curtains keep the light out. And the bedroom door keeps hallway noises out too. A great stay. The only problem I had was that the hotel was mostly empty the week I stayed there so it took a while for the water to heat up, but I soon figured out how to get around that problem. One suggestion, if you are just checking in and have lots of bags use the second elevator, the one farthest away from the front desk, it is larger and more accommodating, the closer one is smaller and probably only fits one or two people.
“How soon can I stay here again?”
My daughter and I loved our stay at the Royal Court Apartments. We must have read thousands of reviews, and kept coming back to the RCA. It was exactly what I expected because of our research. Folks, it's old, creaky and doesn't have many tv channels, but we didn't come 5000 miles to watch tv! It's inexpensive and located at a great "jumping off point" near Hyde Park...I'll take that over a mint on my pillow and a shorter vacation because I had to pay $100 more a night! It was clean, we felt safe, and the staff always had smiles for us. Having the mini-kitchen saved us money and made us feel more like we were going home at the end of the day (in fact, we referred to our room as "home" the whole time, never as "the hotel.") Make sure you grab the flyers that the local restaurants hand out: That's how we found a really good Indian restaurant in the basement of the hotel on the corner of Craven Road and Gloucester Terrace (it was so new, it had no sign!) Breakfast at Raffles down the block was great, too! Oh, and the coin-operated internet connection in the lounge was convenient, but the $2 an hour internet cafe down the street was even better!
