“A very good hotel at a low price for London”

Stayed 3 nights, September 2011. Staff courteous and helpful, room spacious, stylish and modern, great facilities inc. free internet, loved the reading rooms. Nice bar for cocktails overlooking heliport, not time of year for it when I visitied but roof terrace looks great too. Car parking and valet service very reasonable. Only faults very minor - pool small (resistance pool) and closed only chance I had to try and use it during my stay, (but Gym excellent) Biggest moan reading reviews by others pre-visit was location, but for anyone with an ounce of effort in them no problem at all. The hotel provide a shuttle service to the train stations, easier still I think the 170 bus to Victoria, which stops right outside and goes every 8 minutes. Its an hour walk to Victoria on the Chelsea embankment. A very good hotel at a low price for London. PS Battersea square just up the road great for places to eat / drink.

“Very nice hotel”

I needed a hotel near Clapham and Wandsworth. The tripadvisor reviews for this hotel were good. I am glad we stayed there. The owner was there and he was always concerned that we were happy with our accommodations and was there anything we needed. I would stay there again.

“Awful location - Great hotel”

The Rafayel Hotel is a really new, contemporary hotel - - but it is very inconvenient for most London tourists. The closest tube stop isn't really walkable, and taxi's are very expensive. The hotel is in the middle of a neighborhood, and the heart of the city. Nothing to do near the hotel. You're basically on an island, and you need a taxi to get anywhere. We originally booked the Expedia entry level room, which was tiny and had a view of the valet parking lot (not a river view). They showed us two more rooms at that rate, which all looked at the parking lot. Not good. We upgraded to a suite, which was a GREAT room - huge bathroom with shower/tub, dining table, big flat screen TV/seating area, and a great view of the Thames. Still would never stay here again. Too far from the action.
