Won't Stay There Again

Posted 16-Apr-2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Customer Service
Location: By the London Eye
I booked a room that was suppose to have a view but when I checked in was informed they didn't have my room available any longer. They gave me a small room that overlooked the indoor dining area. I would have been understanding about the change if the front desk gal had even made an effort to be nice about it. With all the London options, I would probably encourage you to consider elsewhere for the price.

Great location. Nice hotel.

This is a great hotel for the southbank and a good hotel for families. The breakfast is v expensive though. If you are booking through Expedia, don't bother with the cancellation insurance, you can cancel with the hotel up to 2pm on the day. This is a waste of money.

False advertising. Food and dirt under the furnit

Posted 15-Apr-2014
There is a picture of a pool on the website. We got ready to swim. We asked where is the pool and we were told "there is no pool." I found old food and filth under the furniture. The website changrd the date of my reservation. After calling to fix it they got the number of guests wrong. The rude staff made me feel like I was being accused of cheating. The internet was slow and unreliable. The staff and management useless.

Lovely hotel, close to London Eye and Big Ben.

It is a lovely hotel. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. The children loved it. We had breakfast twice, which was fantastic. We also had a meal in the hotel one night which was great and as we were tired from our day of exploring, it was lovely just to walk downstairs! Great location, buses stopped outside, we had an oyster card, which we used on the buses and the tube. Tube station (Waterloo) just a few minutes walk.

Is perfection possible?

Posted 9-Apr-2014
Pros: The Staff, the food, the room. the ambience, and the closeness to the South Bank
Cons: Music in the bar to be more to my taste
Location: The nest of London
You are not going to get nearer than this in a hotel. Every member of staff was genuinely concerned that we were comfortable and satisfied. The food was excellent.and the room even had enough chairs for both of us to sit comfortably. There was also room for my wheelchair and no-one asked my wife how I was!

Great location and lovely staff!

The moment we stepped out of the taxi we had a warm welcome from the doorman. This continued with the staff at reception who paid particular attention to our kids and made us feel special. The studio room was ideal for our 'young family'. The breakfast was good quality but we only had it once as a bit pricey (kids are free at least). We were right around the corner from the London Eye and a good selection of family friendly restaurants such as Giraffe. Can't beat the location! Really appreciated the 12pm check out which made the end of our holiday much more relaxing and pleasant than usual! Would definately stay here again!

best hotel I have stayed in London

Posted 7-Apr-2014
First impressions count - I arrived with my family on Saturday 22 March and warmly greeted by three people before I made it to the front desk , promptly checked in at the front desk where the woman turned her attention to my children(8,11) and gave them gift packs, coloring books and cookies, nice touch. the room was spacious, clean and well set up for a family, the view was amazing looking out to the London eye, Big Ben and downtown London. Throughout the whole stay the people at Park Plaza went well above and beyond regular call of service. The only thing I will comment in a negative manner was that we had a family meal at the restaurant onsite and the food was not up to the rest of the hotel standard and the service took to long - for the the cost($200+ for 2 adults,2 children) I would eat off site. To finish off- stay at the hotel for great accommodations and location, hotels sell sleep and you will sleep well here

This hotel is very clean and very up to date. Easy walking distance from waterloo station. We were on the 9th floor with a view of the London eye and Big Ben which was amazing but what made our stay brilliant was how friendly and helpful the staff were. We would defiantly stay here again.

Fab hotel near to The London Eye

Posted 1-Apr-2014
Pros: The hotel was great and so was the location.
Location: Went to Greensmiths on Lower Marsh just behind the hotel for breakfast which was lovely. The London Eye and the south bank all on your door stop!
Lovely hotel - especially as we got upgraded to a Penthouse apartment! Had a view of Big Ben from our bed which was amazing!!
