“Extremely convenient”

I was staying by myself for a week in London and wanted a unit with a kitchenette. I booked a double studio and got room #9. The suite was beautiful and looked newly renovated -- in fact it looks like the entire building has been renovated recently. The room had a functional kitchen (complete with convection oven and stovetop). My unit overlooked the front of the building which faced a green space. The main road was nearby but I did not notice any noise. The bathroom was small, but I am not very big so I was fine -- if you are overweight, it might be kinda tight. Nice high ceilings, nice big window. Bed was too firm for me. Laundry is available for a reasonable price. There are several grocery stores nearby including a Tesco metro and a Marks & Spencer's food hall. Metro stations to the Circle, and Bakerloo lines was very convenient. All my communication with the hotel was via email. It is self check-in and out. Maid service is only once a week and only if you are staying longer than 5 days. The area seems to have a large middle eastern community (Persian?) so there were lots of nice little bakeries & restaurants nearby. PROS: - Convenient to the metro. - Efficient and beautiful newly renovated suite - Close to grocers and restaurants. - Free wi-fi! CON: - Mattress was kinda hard - A little far walk from most of the touristy places, took the metro almost every day. - Very small shower/WC. Not a problem for me, but if you are 200lbs+, you might have an issue.

Appartement récent, spacieux, situé à proximité de commerces et d'une station de métro. Pratique, donc. Quelques bémols cependant: le quartier est assez laid et bruyant (proche rue passante). Mais le plus gênant, c'est que les murs sont très mal isolés, pour peu que votre voisin ronfle (notre cas malheureusement), les nuits peuvent être pénibles. Autre problème: certains appartements sont très proches les uns des autres, et pour peu que votre voisin fasse sa tambouille sans aérer, vous serez envahi de toutes ses odeurs de cuisine. Assez bon rapport qualité prix, mais on trouve aussi bien, et mieux isolé dans des quartiers plus agréables.
