“Ok”
All right with good locationa and a breakfast included at a good price, but what I was disappointed with was that I booked and fully prepaid a twin room and it was not available when I arrived. Had to move the beds myself in a King room what is strange as soon as it was confirmed after full payment.
“Stopover stay at The Park Hotel Clarke Quay!”
We were only at The Park for a one night stay, but despite the smallish room and VERY HARD bed we enjoyed our stay! The staff were very friendly and helpful, the free wifi in the lobby was much appreciated, but hello??? Why can't it be free in the rooms? This is 2012 or am I thinking there is a profit in charging exorbitant amounts for hotel wifi??? The location is fantastic, with all attractions within a short cab ride, and many many restaurants within a few minutes walk!
“TRES BON HOTEL BIEN SITUE”
“Nice comforts for price”
Enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We were concerned the full/double bed size was going to be two twin beds pushed together. This was not the case; it was a true full mattress. We didn't take advantage of the hotel breakfast instead we opted to dine at one of the many restaurants in the neighborhood, both sit down and take-away. The bathroom was well stocked with free toiletries and the shower/tub were of modern design but it was raised a little too high off the ground so be careful getting out. If you're going to take the underground to this hotel I would recommend getting off at Earl's Court.
“Staff needs help”
It wasn't that the staff was bad, there just weren't enough of them. When checking in, there was only one gal behind the desk and the line was 6 customers long. It was the same experience when checking out the next morning. While doing emails for an hour in the bar, not once was I asked if I wanted a drink. The hotel itself is clean and the room comfortable. I stay in this neighborhood often-- great location with convenience to restaurants, pubs, the tube, etc.
“Great unless you like a cold room”
All was great; super location, fair price and the hotel was really well presented. However (and this might not effect everyone) I found the room to be overly hot and had the usual "continental" explanation that it is not warm enough to switch the hotel-wide air-conditioning on yet! So, I could select either heat or fan in the room which was disappointing. I finally was told that the only real solution is to open the window but this lost the effect of the amazing triple glazing and let the city noise in. In the hotel's defence I do like a cold room, but my wife also agreed strongly. But apart from the air-con, I would fully recommend this hotel. The shower was amazing and nice wardrobes and shelving for clothes. Its just a shame that I felt sweaty after dressing before 2 important days representing my company.
