“Great service in a centrally-located hotel”
A lovely but slightly pricey hotel located near some great parks and within walking distance of some of London's attractions. The room was very comfortable, if a bit small, and the light switches could have been more accessible. A small but reasonably-equipped gym. The nearest Underground station was a bit of a walk away so I used cabs to get to some of the stations with my luggage.
“A stately hotel in a convenient location”
The hotel is very nice and is located across the street from a small park. It is confortable and the hotel staff was friendly. We had a suite, and while some of the furnishings need updating, for the price, the Millenium is an excellent choice. There are two restaurants that make it convenient to grab a quick meal. The hotel is located about 2 - 3 blocks from Oxford Street and the Bond Street subway station. The subways in the US are not always clean and safe, so I was hesitant to use the London subway system. Don't be - it is very clean, safe, and it makes it easy to get to any part of the city for sightseeing. Plan to see the Tower of London and have lunch at their cafeteria-style restaurant on site. The restaurant was convenient, and the food was, surprising, very good. Take a day trip on the train to Windsor Castle, and try to plan a second day trip on the train to Salsbury and Stonehenge. While in Salsbury, visit the cathedral - it is beautiful. The train rides to either Windsor or Salsbury take about an hour and the sights are amazing. From the hotel, the train stations (Paddington or Victoria) are only a short cab or subway ride away. Also, stop at Harrod's - the food court alone is worth the visit! (Go, and you'll see what I mean.) It is a struggle to see all of the sights in a week; you'll wish you had more time.
“What a pleasant surprise”
Our room was luxurious & we were amazed at the size. It was big enough to hav a party. The king size bed was great to fall into. We had a great night sleep. We overlooked a gorgeous park.We had breakfast which was yummy, & accept for a grumpy waitress we were well looked after.
“Londons Best”
The Millennium Hotel London Mayfair is an outstanding hotel. The accomodations are roomy. There was plenty of room / space for everything I brought with me. The location was perfect. The hotel is quiet, close to several train stations, shopping, tourist attractions and just about anything else you would want to do or see in London. The staff is frienly, helpfull and always available. Outstanding hotel and staff. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to visit London.
“Will room there on my next visit!”
Good Hotel. Good service. In house dinning is good, but expensive. The breakfast is great.
“Nice hotel in London”
Great Value if you can find it cheap
“Peaceful Oasis”
My wife and I stayed here for 10 days and found all the staff very helpful and courteous. From the chambermaids & room service personnel to the front desk & concierge, all offered some of the finest service we've experienced. The room was clean and made up early for us most days. Our bathroom, while not huge, was all marble tile w/ a towel warmer, deep tub & shower, and had great water pressure. After a long day of sightseeing it was great to have a hot soak and rest our tired toes. As others have said, it's in posh Mayfair w/ the closest tube station being a 5 minute walk over to Bond Street. Amazing that it's so quiet there when minutes away is busy London. We too requested a Grosvenor (pronounced grove-nur)Park view and were delighted that they obliged. The only drawback would be for those who like being in the thick of the action. You will have to do some walking in this neighborhood but we found some nice mid price restaurants & a convenience store around the corner for snacks and such. One word about prices. While we were there, London overtook Tokyo as the most expensive city in the world with Paris at #3 followed by New York City at #4. We went to the movies in Leicester Square one friday night and it was close to $100.00 for the two of us - but hey, we did get popcorn & a soda...to share. Cheers!
“Great value for posh area of London”
The Millennium Hotel stay we booked on Expedia was great value for Mayfair area of pricey London. Upbeat lobby bar. Within 2 blocks walking distance of a great local French cafe/bakery and an authentic nearby pub. The room was very clean, prompt maid service, hot tea/coffee kettle and comfy bed. On the downer side hall areas need updated soon.
“A Fantastic London Hotel”
We had a great experience at the Millinneum Mayfair! The location was perfect. It was really close to great shopping on Oxford and Bond Streets. Mayfair is a beautiful London area. Service at the hotel was excellent. The doormen/concierge were especialy helpful and always polite and friendly! Our room was extremely clean and comfortable. We highly recommend this hotel.
