While initial impressions were high on the junior level suite I quickly was disappointed by a few things
1. This was a mid March visit and the room was so cold that one the first night I slept with the robe on (the robe provided by the hotel). The next day I spoke with someone at the front desk. I explained that my room was freezing last night. They did not seem surprised by the complaint. They quickly stated that a housekeeper would bring a heater to my room. So obviously they had heard this before if you have a heater readily available then you have heard this complaint before. handy to send to the room.
2. The heater brought to the room had a missing wheel and therefore would not sit straight and wobbled.
3. The thermostat in the room even when set to its highest temperature left the room cold.
4. The feel of the bed/mattress. It was a slab of concrete and I woke up sore every morning.
5. I ordered room service one night and the food was marginal at best.
6. Not much of a selection in the mini bar so I left it alone.
7. I left my room card to unlock the door in my room and went to the front desk to ask for another one. I was uncomfortable with the fact that they simply asked me to verify my name in order to get another room card that fell a bit unsafe because anyone could verify my name. This is something that I think of as a female traveling alone.
If I return to London I will not use this hotel again.
