While initial impressions were high on the junior level suite I quickly was disappointed by a few things 1. This was a mid March visit and the room was so cold that one the first night I slept with the robe on (the robe provided by the hotel). The next day I spoke with someone at the front desk. I explained that my room was freezing last night. They did not seem surprised by the complaint. They quickly stated that a housekeeper would bring a heater to my room. So obviously they had heard this before if you have a heater readily available then you have heard this complaint before. handy to send to the room. 2. The heater brought to the room had a missing wheel and therefore would not sit straight and wobbled. 3. The thermostat in the room even when set to its highest temperature left the room cold. 4. The feel of the bed/mattress. It was a slab of concrete and I woke up sore every morning. 5. I ordered room service one night and the food was marginal at best. 6. Not much of a selection in the mini bar so I left it alone. 7. I left my room card to unlock the door in my room and went to the front desk to ask for another one. I was uncomfortable with the fact that they simply asked me to verify my name in order to get another room card that fell a bit unsafe because anyone could verify my name. This is something that I think of as a female traveling alone. If I return to London I will not use this hotel again.

For the price we paid for this hotel, the experience was truly terrible. To start, there were only two working elevators which meant that we were forced to take four flights of stairs several times a day with two children, bags, and a stroller in tow. The breakfast at the supposedly VIP “Level” area was pure chaos with way too many people. And to top it off, the concierge failed to order our van to the airport despite multiple requests which caused a total nightmare on our departure day. I will never stay at this property again and plan to submit a complaint to management.

Good clean and pretty
Lovely hotel with a nice ambiance the only minus is the lifts. They were hard to use and ironically inconvenient, they didn’t work so we had to use the service lift

Delightful hotel
Modern hotel with beautiful rooms and great selection of toiletries. Bed was a little too firm for me and the noise from other guests disturbed me during the night. Breakfast was fabulous, a wide selection of hot and cold choices.

This was not what I paid for and not what I was promised. The room wasn’t soundproof at all. You could hear every little thing from the hall and neighbor rooms. The bed wasn’t a queen it was 2 hard beds uncomfortable pushed together.

Location is great and the property and staff were very pleasant and presented extremely well. However the room size was very small box and looked nothing like the website image for a double deluxe room, bed was uncomfortable and the temperature control system was difficult to manage, roadside noise was loud if window was opened, the bed was hard and bedding was a minimal standard so sleeping was very disturbed. Pretty disappointed nights stay as the images and website description was quite the contrary.

Disappointed that having requested a quiet room we were put in a room directly above the restaurant. Noisy with furniture moving etc. pillows on beds were feeble. No support. Duvet wasn’t big enough for the bed. Bedside tables are crazy. Big design holes in them. May look cool but totally impractical for putting a glass on in the middle of the night. Not at all safe and risk of breaking glass. Shower over bath difficult to get in and out of (and we are able bodied). No soap in the shower. Only two milk portions in the room. Overall poor and disappointing.

What have they done to the Melia White House? No handsome dark wood in the room, no own brand toiletries with that wonderful sandalwood smell, front desk pushing you to use a machine to check in and out. Expedia VIP member but no recognition, no upgrade or other amenities. Very average staff service. More training required!!

The bed and pillow condition is not great, and as my room was at first floor, the entrance corridor is just outside my room which there are people walking or talking the whole night. Overall I didn’t get a good rest.

Great location and a nicely renowed hotel. However i asked for a quiet room away from the lifts and was put right next to double doors off the elevator that were constantly noisy. Apararently that was the room rate i had booked despite the fact the hotel had plenty of available quiet rooms - disappointing. Also they allowed young families into the business area which made it impossible to work there. When i mentioned it, i was told "sorry about that". Unlikely to come back if on a business trip.

The hotel looks very nice and staff is friendly, but the rooms have little privacy, we could hear the conversations next door like they were in the room, and OTHER NOISES too. One of the two days we stayed we couldn’t sleep because of the noise. Breakfast is not bad but they don’t make enough coffee for everyone so you have to ask for refills. The area is very safe and well connected, the rooms are nice, so I hope they make something to fix the noise situation.

Very clean, breakfast was nice and staff was very friendly. Pillows were not very comfortable and we were over the restaurant and heard the base playing from the music which isn’t very relaxing.

I chose a Melia as I had stayed in one in Valencia and it was amazing, this London one not so much really. The air con in the rooms will not stay on while you are out, you can't leave a key in to keep it running. The hallway carpets are really stained. You are paying for the name here, not the quality of the hotel.

The staff was great, very accommodating. Hotel is adjacent to lovely Regent's Park. The glass wall between the bathroom and bedroom allows no privacy. Also, there was a floor to ceiling crack in that glass wall that should have been repaired. Motion sensors in the ceiling regulate the air conditioner. If you are up and moving around, the room is comfortable, but once you go to sleep and there is no movement, the room gets too warm. Very annoying! Only one tiny trash bin was an inconvenience. No washcloths are provided.

First, please NOTE that even though the listing says that the Level Junior Suite comes with a King bed and a full sofa bed, we arrived to learn that the hotel has NO full sofa beds. All of them are singles. Since we're a family of 4, that was a problem, so they moved us into a larger room (the regular "suite" room was not a suite, it's just this room in the picture with the twin sofa bed at the foot). I don't know if Expedia can amend the description, but the staff seemed confused as to why this was in the description. The suite we were given was much better...it was like 2 rooms but with a heavy velvet curtain in between. They brought in a twin cot with a mattress that was made up like a bed so we smashed that next to the twin sofa bed for two kids to sleep on. That left a small sliver of space to walk to the bathroom but we were fine with it. We loved the fact that this suite had a small table with 4 chairs, which enabled us to get takeout dinners at eat them in the room some of our nights. We stayed 6 nights in total. We loved the breakfasts at the Level. During the day, there is fruit, bread/scones/jam, and in the evening there's some very light tapas. My son has many food allergies, and one staff member in particular was super helpful in finding (and even ordering) breakfast items he could eat. His name was Zubair, and he truly went above and beyond.

We enjoyed everything about the hotel: the appearance - it looks posh, antique, high-end furniture in the hallway and efficient and elegant design in the rooms; convenient location to the underground - it is around a 5 min walk; the cleaners; the staff, which is very polite and helpful. Given the opportunity, we would use this hotel chain again in the blink of an eye. One suggestion: add breakfast to the lodging when checking in. It is convenient and will not be cheaper elsewhere, and it cannot be added after (we learned the hard way)

Fabulous hotel just 5 min walk from Regents Park and the underground station. Comfy beds and not noisy for a London hotel. Breakfast had plenty of choices and the cooked options were replenished regularly. Would book here again and would consider this chain in other cities
