“Great Hotel”
We were here on our honeymoon, last week. The hotel is in a great area, very safe- single women were walking around safely well into the night. It is right next to Earls Court, which takes you from Heathrow all the way into downtown. The room is small for American standards, but it is impeccably clean and there is a TV with a remote. The staff was well informed and very helpful. We got there very early, although we couldn't check in because the room wasn't available, they took our luggage and delivered it to our room. They even let us check in earlier than usual. The free breakfast is good, but there is a Benjys at the corner that serves a huge English Breakfast-with Bangers-for less than three pounds. Would definitely stay here again. Great Hotel-Good Price. Happy Travels!
“Great find in a great neighborhood”
This was a lucky find. I love this hotel for: - location - It has easy walking distance to Earl's Court underground and large mix of ethnic restaurants - staff - Went above and beyond on early checkins, luggage storage and moving, getting silverware for eating take-out food, etc. - comfort - Any hotel in London in this price range will be small, especially by American standards. But Mayflower does a good job with the space, and has a good arrangement of bed, dressers and small bathrooms.
“Perfect location”
This is a great small hotel close to all transportation. We had a twin room that was small, but is was comfortable and perfect.
“"Great Location"”
The Mayflower was everything that I had expected, especially after reading other people's reviews. I was expecting the room to be small & it was. I'm glad that I had gotten a double room, a single even for one person would've been way too small. The neighborhood was great- lots of hustle & bustle, pubs & stores. The location was convienyent also, just right around the corner from a tube station. The staff was very friendly & helpful. And the hotel was pretty clean. Just watch out when you use the lift...it's really small & you won't be able to fit much onto it at one time.
“great value”
This hotel is a great value for the price. Central location, close to the metro. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Overall, good experience - would stay their again.
“Great location”
Modern, clean rooms and convient location less than 1 block from the Earls Court tube. Breakfast was good and staff was friendly.
“great location to earls court station”
If i had to moan i was the side of the train station and it was a bit noisy with the window open. but the room was clean and fresh, service good, comfortable. i would use the hotel again!!! Breakfast continental but hot croissants, juice, cereal etc set you up for the day.
“Not perfect, but serves its purpose”
When I read reviews of this place, I thought "How small could the room be?" It's VERY small! Like stretch my arms out and almost touch both walls small. And it is hard to have your suitcase out. Also no plugs in the bathroom!!! I wasn't there much so I didn't mind. I did have to ask twice to have my TV fixed, but the staff I saw consistently was very nice. Feels like a cross between a boutique hotel and B&B. Free continental breakfast was too crowded for me. But Earl's Court tube stop was a two minute walk away...and that made it all worthwhile.
“Not Bad”
This is a pretty inexpensive hotel for the young savy traveler like myself and girlfriend. Great area with good pubs and the hotel is very close to the tube. Room was nice but small and the bed was just two twins pushed together but it's London right....who's sleeping. Maybe not the best choice for kids but for a young couple it's fine. Breakfast was pretty good too.
“Comfortable/ handy location.”
Hotel is in a handy location close to Earls Court station. There was some minor train noise from time to time but nothing to interfer with the stay. Room wasnt huge but was quite comfortable,- clean, tidy maintained appearance. No real complaints. Number of eating places in the near vicinity. We were out all day and evenings - it was a comofrtable place to put your head down at night and a satisfactory breakfast in the morning
