“Great location!”
Overall, we really liked the hotel. The concierges were all exceptional - very helpful and efficient. The hotel is very clean and well-maintained. The location is great - right off the Piccadilly line, so the tube was very easy to use. If you prefer to walk, it is within walking distance to Buckingham Palace, Hyde Park, lots of tourist areas. The shower was the best shower I've ever had in a hotel - wanted to stay in there forever. The only problem that we had was we had paid for a standard room. There were 3 of us and the room was extremely small, dark, on the second floor and was facing other rooms. We had to upgrade to a deluxe room or there wouldn't have even been room enough for a cot, let alone our luggage. The other thing was that the breakfasts there were ridiculously expensive, so that if you have an early-morning tour, you are forced to eat there and it could cost you over $100 for breakfast. Other than that, though, we really liked the hotel and would consider staying there again.
“Perfect”
Restaurant very expensive but near Shepherd's Market where there are good but cheaper restaurants. The tube location (Hyde Park Corner) required walking under a tunnel to cross the street to the hotel which was scary. Better to take the tube to Green Park and take the short walk down Piccadilly to the hotel.
“"Luxury and Location"”
This hotel overlooks Hyde Park. It was easy to get to most London sights, such as Big Ben, the Thames, Westminster Abbey, and Buchingham Palace. It is walkable, but a train station is around the corner. I like to walk. It was lovely to walk in Hyde Park early in the morning. I was there in March. Flowers were beginning to bloom. There were many birds and a large pond. A riding trail runs through the park, so I shared the park with riders on horseback. The hotel and rooms were beautifully decorated. The bed was extremely comfortable. The staff were very helpful and pleasant.
“Great place to stay. A true 5star Hotel in London.”
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a great centralize location.
“Happy Australians”
Our stay at the Intercontinental was a welcome interlude in our long holiday. The room was clean and spacious and the view from the 8th floor great. The bathroom the same minus the view. The bar very nice but at big hotel prices. Lunch at Theo Randalls was a real highlight and the warmth of our conversation with the staff and Theo himself was icing on the cake. Pardon the pun. I would be remiss not to recommend the lemon tart. Yum
“InterCon is the best”
The hotel has the greatest location. It's located right next to Green Park--10 minutes walk from Buckingham Palace, 10 minutes from the Ritz, 15 minutes from Baker street. All the shopping destinations are within the 10-pound-taxi range. The room was serviced twice a day. Besides the regular morning service, they will clean your room again in the evening and get the cover and extra pillows off your bed and even put the slippers out. Room service kitchen is 24 hrs. They do menu in different time periods throughout the day. Because I was staying for a whole week, they even upgraded my room for free. I enjoyed my stay there very much and will definately choose InterContinental Hyde Park when I go to London again.
“Great hotel to stay”
Although this was my first time to stay at this hotel, I will definitely repeat it again and again. It will be my first choice from now on. Room is very clean, spacious, and cozy. Bed is extremely comfortable. Amenities definitely reflect that of a five star hotel. I should also mention how friendly hotel staff are. Location is great. You get what you pay for, and more.
“Five Star Experience”
An excellent choice for anyone wanting the perfect location for sightseeing and shoping in London. The Hyde Park Corner location is within walking distance of everything we wanted to experience during our stay. The breakfast buffet was terrific, We made very good use of the excellent fitness facility. THE one thing I would have liked that was missing would be an ice machine on every floor.
“Top Quality Hotel in Mayfair”
Service was excellent, can't really find anything to complain about with the hotel. Amenities were well done, especially the club intercontinental room. Location is central to many nice spots around Knightsbridge and Mayfair. Overall a great place to stay.
“Hotel Inter-Continental Park Lane”
Super hotel, justifies its 5 Star rating... Great staff, B&O TV, Bose CD Radio Alarm... Allowed me to check in early as I arrived in from USA at 11:00... Room service popped by and tided my room when I was out, nice touches...
