“Superbe hotel!parfait,un peut loin du centre de Londres mais accéssible”

L'hotel est nikel,très très propre,parties communes ou chambres très très bien entretenus.petit déjeuné continental(dommage pas de spécialités anglaises)à volonté,croissants pains céréales,fruits,jus etc... Restauration le soir,3-4 plats au choix par jour(service un peut lent mais repas ok)environ 8-10£ le plat. Chambre très propre,SDB propre avec tout ce qu'il faut,serviettes gel-douche mouchoirs etc...tv ecran plat,de quoi se faire du café ou thé etc... Personnel très aimable et disponible. Seul petit bémol,la distance entre l'hotel et le centre de Londres,mais l' arrêt de bus est juste DEVANT l'hotêl.(arret henyl's corner)Il faut environ 30-40 minutes en bus(lignes 82,N13 la nuit) ou moins si l'on prends le metro(station "finchley central" à 15min à pied ou 5min en bus 82;station "golders green" à 10min en bus 82 dans l'autre direction)Il y a des bus toutes les 10 minutes toute la journée,très pratique. Il n'y a pas trop d'activités autour de l'hotel,surtout des résidences,le 1er restaurant doit être à 5-10min à pieds. J'y retournerais surement car la "petite" distance réduit le prix par rapport aux hotels du centre.

“Good value and friendly staff.”

On arrival we found the reception friendly, helpful and quick. The room was exactly what we expected, no frills but comfortable and clean. Breakfast was simple with plenty of 'continental' choice. Coffee excellent. Overall, good value for money.

The hotel is located in Zone 3 and so the easiest way to get there on public transport is to Golders Green Tube Station on the Northern Line. Then just outside the tubestation and to the left near the bridge is a bus stop. Take the 82 or 210 to Finchley, depending on traffic it'll take 5-10 minutes. Make sure that you get off at the stop over the Great Northern Road. At the moment there are road works and this has affected Pedestrians - the re-route is quite lengthy. The hotel staff were welcoming and efficient and we had a good room on the first floor. The room was clean and well appointed - the only gripe would be that the bed was firm (which I like) but lacked padding over the mattress. The room was reasonably quiet, though situated near fire-doors, these tended to bang when shut. Breakfast was basic but plentiful and adequate. It consisted of yoghurts, grapefruit (tinned), fruit, toast, rolls and pastries, cheese, jams, marmite and spreads. Apple or orange juice, and various hot drinks. There is a room to leave luggage which is free. A special mention should be made to Beverley who went out of her way to be friendly and helpful. She worked such long hours but always had a smile. All in all an excellent choice.

Convenient and clean, if somewhat impersonal. And watch out, they only do continental breakfast, nothing cooked. They do generally have a toaster but it was broken on our visit. On the plus side, the rooms are spotless and comfortable, and the bathrooms are all you could expect. Reception was polite, friendly, and informative whenever we called. And they were thoughtful enough to give us four bath towels as there were four of us (two adults, two kids). It's a small thing but it's incredible how many times we've had to ask for two extra bath towels. Also, it's not as hard to get to by public transport as I thought - there's a bus stop right outside, and direct buses from Golders Green tube (and probably other directions as well). On the downside, it's a bit of an unpreposessing spot, right next to the North Circular. To their credit, the sound insulation is excellent and you'd never know except for the occasional glance out of the window. And it must have the only breakfast room in London with a view of the Naked Lady! (The statue of "La Victoire", donated by a grateful French nation after the war.) Also, there's no on-site restaurant and the nearest ones are a seven-minute walk away. No biggie, but it was a bit of a surprise for us. Breakfast was a bit of a disappointment, I would have expected at least boiled eggs or something hot, but it was all cold food, and not very imaginative at that. Staff were friendly and polite, and everything was clean.
