Ideally placed.
This was my second visit to this hotel as it was ideally situated for the places I had to visit in London. Within a minutes walk of Green Park and easy access to all the shops I wanted to visit. The hotel I am told is about to close to undergo major refurbishment, which would not be a bad thing as it is looking a little tired now in some areas. My booking and check in was handled with the utmost professionalism by well trained and polite staff members. I look forward to visiting again once the refurbishment has been completed.

We'll take your money but not tell you...
No A/C in the rooms at the hotel. I was not informed about this when booking only found out when I tried to check in. Given it was 25C in London, even the offer of 20% was not worth it. I was then told there was nothing they could do and a refund would be issued. At this point I had to walk round to find a hotel and checked into The Mayfair after trying the Holiday Inn. Not great from either Hilton, or Expedia in not letting people know.

Great location in Mayfair. The hotel is rundown and very poorly maintained. The rooms were grubby and not well cleaned (one wall had coffee splatters, the bathroom door was grimy, the bathtub had a very slow drain) and the registration desk staff seem overwhelmed/undertrained. Half the rooms lacked air conditioning(during a week of heat) and,in response to complaints, they shrugged and said they were full. It’s a good thing the property will cease being a Hilton property at the end of September- it’s not good for the brand.

The hotel is in a nice neighborhood (Mayfair) but the hotel has been maintained poorly. The air conditioning was not functioning when we checked in. The receptionist was super slow and seemed unfamiliar with their process. We waited more than 20 minutes to check in despite the fact that there was only one person ahead of us. The room was in shoddy condition and the bathroom was not cleaned properly. The property will cease being a Hilton property in October and that’s probably a good thing for the brand.

I will post photos but the hotel rooms were filthy for the cost - ripped chairs, stains everywhere rug and furniture - cut leg on corner of bed - also the rooms I rented (2) were not both available so they split us up & put us on either side of elevator - Excavation being done starting at 7am outside our windows (have the noise videoed) let alone the construction trailer that was wide open was the workers potty and faced out rooms - we were never told - unacceptable as a Hilton reward member - I do believe its because we reserved through Expedia - no air in lobby I could get over but the noise & dirt should have been embarrassing to the Hilton Brand.

Disapointed - shoudl have stayed at a Premier Inn
very disapointed in the hotel, starting with the reception staff, who insisted i needed to produce a passport as they thougt i was American. next the room , the underground Tube trains rumbling through every few minutes was quite an accompanment to the TV and sleeping. Whilst mentioning sleeping, every movemt resulted ina creak and grown form the bed ( and im not a big Man) finalay th elack of A?C in he bar adn restaurnt resulted in no breakfast for the first night stays( we could nt stand the heat) and in the evening the ice melted before we evern got th edrink to a seat, resulting haveing evening drinks in our room.

I lived in London for 6 years and I travel all the time. The hotel is in a fantastic location looks amazing from the outside but unfortunately it's a complete dump on the inside. The rooms are old, pain chipping, the windows don't close properly, the tile in the bathroom is cracked, the carpets are stained and the entire experience just feels dirty. I am not saying that that rooms are not cleaned but the entire place feels dirty and badly in need of some love.. At the price I paid (over $400/night) it's completely over priced!

An absolutely awful stay cut short, room 1 next to the back of two lifts, room two with a view straight onto an air condition unit room three above a pub: I never got any other room offered and never got the deluxe room with queen bed and most importantly quiet surrounds: The worst hotel I have ever stayed in: 2 star at best

The room was very minimalist, no bureau, no plug near a mirror for drying hair, very low lighting especially over sink in bathroom. I booked through expedia and had to leave a day early, when I called Expedia to change reservation they said it was up to Hilton, but Hilton made me pay the extra day even though I gave them 4 days notice. Only positive is you can't beat the location.

The hotel lobby was outstanding. Beautiful fresh flowers and inviting entrance. We get to our room and it was deplorable. Mold or heavy dirt in the corners, ripped carpet, water damage ceiling, cracked bathroom sink, horrible drapes, hanging and just awful. Our desk lamp had a hold cut in the shade I guess to keep from catching fire. We felt as if we were in a much lower class hotel. Very disappointed. When our room was clean, a dirty coffee cup was left by the cleaning staff. I complained to the manager and she stated all of the room were in the same condition. This was my trip to meet my husband who is deployed in the U. S. Army and for my birthday. This was just awful. The breakfast was nice and the staff.

I had picked a chain hotel like the Hilton because I thought it would be up to the same standards as all the Hilton’s I’ve been too in the United States. The location was perfect and I was hoping for an amazing experience. The room was a decent size but the walls were a little banged up and scuffed, the bed was very uncomfortable. I asked for two extra bed duvets to lay of top of because all I could feel at night were the springs. I didn’t like that there were not outlets by the bed. The bathroom was clean and products were nice. The front desk was understaffed and so was the concierge dealing with bags and also trying to help guide people. Also my phone didn’t work besides the reception button so every time I needed something I had to go thru them which then took twice as long as if the buttons worked to get to the directly. The duty manager was very helpful however when a friend visiting me got Ill and was we needed help with a doctor. He was very attentive. Overall I was unsatisfied with the price of the room for the comfort I got. The location was very nice however. I was hoping for better Hilton standards however.

bathroom door wouldn't close all the way. Paint was chipping on the trim. Asked for bed linen to be changed and it wasn't - bed was just remade. Maid service knocking at the door at 9 am. Internet was terrible. Could only stay on for a minute and then got kicked off.

Avg hotel in a great area. I enjoyed my stay for the two nights I was there. I usually book in with the Stafford but this was a last minute trip and suited its purpose. Rooms are very small and a bit outdated as far as decor.

I would not stay here again. The room was not as described. The air conditioning was broken. The showers water was hot then cold and low pressure. The TV was not working. The bed mattress was terrible. You could feel the springs and the lumps. The bathroom barely for 1 person with the door closed. When I checked after explaining my dissatisfaction the desk clerk said “I will make a note”. Very poor customer service in a outdated hotel.
