“perfect location large apartment”
everything was fine, hotel map was incorrect, anyway, we found the hotel, room was nice and clean and larger than what I expect. It was two bedroom apartment, location was perfect. Living room was a little bit cold because of heating. It's OK ,no big deal. We planned to stay there again.
“Highly recommended, but mind the nightclub next door”
Just returned from a week long stay at Harrington Court. We had four adults and a 20 month old baby. Overall we are very satisfied with our stay. The location was fantastic, very close to the T stop convinient to all the top attractions. There is a small Tesco store 2 blocks away to pick up some quick grocery. The hotel itself, the service was great. The baby cot was ready when we arrived, which has not been the case in the other places we stayed in the past. The apartment was big, especially our bedroom. We even had a small balcony! The only drawback to the hotel stay was apparently there is a night club next door. The first night (Saturday) we arrived, the music was so loud, we couldn't sleep until 2am! But the rest of our stay was otherwise fantastic, and we definitely will return, but maybe not on a Saturday night. .
“A Spacious apartment in London!”
The reviews were on target for this hotel. Although the carpets were a bit dingy, this was a good choice for our stay. The rooms were clean and spacious. I have a 5 yr old, and it was good to have lots of space, and proximity to the Tube. The kitchen had all the basics and we often ate in. My only issue was the lack of good internet connectivity. And the phone not having a speakerphone. So working from here was fairly difficult. However, overall it was a very pleasant experience - I would definitely stay here again!
“Great London Hotel”
The Harrington was clean, quiet, spacious and very conveniently located a block away from the Museum of Natural History, the V&A, and the South Kensington tube station. Harrod's and other neighborhood attractions were just a few short blocks away and the immediate neighborhood was chock full of eateries ranging from the very reasonable (Pret a Manger) to the more expensive (Kahn's). Small convenience stores and pubs were also located nearby for quick snacks and drinks. Will definitely visit again!
“great place to stay”
Stayed 3 nights with husband and 2 college age children. The location of the hotel was great. Lots to see in the neighborhood and the tube station is very close. The staff was pleasant, the rooms were clean and well planned but the best part was having 2 bathrooms! Just beware of the very small water heater.
“Very good experience”
Excellent location near subway station, museums, and many food shops and restaurants. Good Wi-fi. Large room and kitchenette. We seriously missed having a good light to read by the sofa and for reading in bed. The hotel could remedy that easily. Room cleqned every day. Service at the desk was very good. So, overall, a very good choice.
“Perfect for Our Plans”
Fantastic location. Very close to both the South Kensington Tube station and a bus stop, in an attractive neighborhood. Within walking distance (if you're only relatively fit) to Kensington/Hyde Park, the V&A, the Natural History Museum, Harrods etc. Bike rental stand near the Natural History Museum was a plus - we biked through the parks and down to Buckingham Palace. A great bakery, wine/cheese shop, pubs and small restaurants in the immediate neighborhood. The flat concept was perfect for two families traveling together, We ate breakfasts in and had a few cheese/bread/fruit nights when we were too tired to go out. Spotlessly clean and modern kitchen/bathrooms. Beds were comfortable. The carpet/curtains/paint were a bit worn, but it appeared they were in the process of refreshing other units - just hadn't gotten to ours yet. Perfect base for exploring London.
“Harrington hotel”
We were very pleased to discover the Tube was only a few steps away from the hotel and Herrods was only a fiteen minute walk. When we arrived the staff was pleasant and helpful. Our room was better than expected. We loved the large living room and the very adequated bedrooms. If we ever travel to London again we will definitely book this hotel.
“Big studio with kitchen a block from the Underground”
My wife, 14-year old son and I stayed in one of the rooms referred to as a studio. The hotel and room and had two big advantages. First, the hotel is less than a block from the South Kensigton Underground station, where you can board the Circle, District and Picadilly lines. Second, the studio was huge by downtown standards: decent-sized sleeping area with a double bed, big living area in which the staff placed a comfortable cot, private bath, and kitchen with range, oven, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. I actually roasted a chicken one night! There were some negatives. The staff seemed perplexed by simple requests like finding out when the room would be cleaned or explaining how to dial an international call. There was a window that wouldn't stay shut, and the telephone was missing when I checked in (the staff provided one promptly). Overall, the positives far outweighed the negatives. A spacious, comfortable spot in a good location.
“Nice hotel but don't get scammed by the 'taxi'”
I stayed at the Harrington Court Apartments, April 19 – 26, 2011 and was pleased with the accommodations. However, they offer a questionable ‘taxi’ service. There is a regular taxi stand in front of the hotel but, when I mentioned that I’d use one when I left for the airport, the receptionist ‘helpfully’ offered to reserve it for me. I checked with one of the drivers out front to find out what I should expect the fare to be and was quoted a price of approximately GP10 to Victoria Station. The vehicle that the hotel had reserved arrived on time, but I was surprised to see that it was unmarked, displayed no license, and had no metre. As the driver took my luggage, I asked him the price to Victoria and he said that it would cost GP18! With that I grabbed my bags and walked away. Then he made a hurried phone call and said that he would take me for GP10. Someone is making a lot of money off unsuspecting tourists. Don't get caught!
