Wonderful Character HotelPosted 2-Sep-2014
Pros: The building had great period charm.
Cons: Size of bathroom and the room could have been slightly larger as there was not much room either side of the bed.
Location: Great location and very close to the tube station. All London sites easily accessible from this area.
We stayed at the Grand Royale London Hyde Park during August 2014. The hotel had fantastic period charm and was situated close to the tube. The staff were very attentive and we had a very enjoyable stay. The bedroom could have been a bit larger, as there was not much room either side of the bed and the bathroom was very compact, however this would not deter me from staying here again and I will recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Nice location, tiny room.Posted 1-Sep-2014
I guess when you don't pay much you don't get much. The room was very small but the location was excellent and had no reasons to complain about anything.

Two nights for two at Grand Royal Hyde Park HotelPosted 3-Aug-2014
I almost had a great super and excellent time save for a missing shower curtain or substitute...not sure if this is standard but it got to me a lot...I'm pretty tall and wide handed so I would have loved to have something to stop me from messing up the floor and having to wipe that clean instead of enjoying my vacation.

Not impressed!Posted 19-Jul-2014
Pros: The staff
Cons: Where do I start...
Location: Location was key to booking this hotel.
Over priced for what you get....a broom cupboard. Staff are nice and considerate but this does not change the hotel facilities...."bijou" to put it politely.

Loved it!Posted 16-Jul-2014
Fantastic location and staff. Very close to tube station (which was convenient for suitcases) and bus stops. Very small room, but clean and modern.

Euan & Nadine love getawayPosted 8-Jul-2014
Just stayed at the hotel from the 05/07/14 to 07/07/14. We stayed in a deluxe double room on the ground floor. Room was a bit small but very clean. View from the room was none existing as we were looking onto the back of the hotel. Not enough staff on at the front desk and they seemed to not know what they were doing at times. Overall great location to base yourself but may look at other hotels first before booking this one.

Excellent location and friendly staffPosted 6-Jul-2014
Chose the hotel for the location and it didn't disappoint being only a short distance from the 2 tube stations. Access to Hyde park and a short hop to Paddington station too. The pictures are accurate and overall could not fault the hotel for cleanliness and staff assistance. We experienced a leak in the hallway during the night with water dripping from the ceiling. The staff were quick to apologise and helped us move to an upgraded room, after checking on the status of the one above us, of course!

Good location, small room and uncomfortable bedPosted 5-Jul-2014
Pros: The staff were very friendly on both arrival and departure.
Cons: Replacement of both the pillows and the mattress.
Location: Street away from tubes for the Circle and Central lines. Kensington Gardens is just a few minutes walk.
My husband and I booked this hotel for an overnight stay in London. We were mainly looking for a reasonably priced hotel where we could spend a comfortable night. The location of the hotel is perfect being just a street away from Bays Water and Queensway tube stations. The high street is also a very short walk, with everything you'd need if you didn't want to stray too far from the area. We originally booked a double, but we were upgraded to a Club Room. The room was very smart and clean, but both the main room and the bathroom were very small. The bed was a small double, with very hard pillows and mattress (which we found was badly in need of replacement). The size of the room wasn't an issue, but unfortunately the discomfort of the bed did mean a restless night.

Great location, quiet and comfortable roomPosted 22-Jun-2014 on Hotels.com
I stayed one night as I had a meeting the next day in the area. The hotel is a beautiful 1900 private home that was turned into a boutique hotel. They are undergoing modernization with new carpets but keeping the beautiful turn of the century lights and wood. The hotel is within a block of 2 underground stations and across the street from Kensington Park and within 15 minute walk of the museums or Oxford Circus. The surrounding area has several far eastern restaurants and tourist trinket shops. The room was small, a deluxe twin, but clean modern and functional. I was initially given a first floor rooms which was too noisy. The front desk quickly exchanged my room and made sure it would work for me. I would gladly rebook if I need a hotel in the area.
