“Great little hotel!”
Beautiful building, great staff, convenient to the tube station. The only drawback I could see was a really small, slow lift. But that is pretty common in those old hotels. I will definitely go back!
“Great Location”
Overall, it's one of the best hotels for the money and I would definately stay there again. The hotel is well located and very close to the South Kensington tube stop. The rooms are small but the bathrooms are nice and both are clean. Only one caveat, the concierge is not very helpful so be prepared for your trip.
“fantastic location”
`great place to stay--- beware the room was small but the bathroom absolutely gorgeous!!!!! would stay there again
“A decent place to stay”
We selected the Gallery hotel as pretty much a place to sleep, clean up, etc. while we visited London. The room was very small (expected)but clean and comfortable. The location was great: internet cafe, museums, South Kensington tube, Hyde Park, & pubs were within walking distance. While the front desk staff was forgetable (really did sit and look at internet & not particularly helpful), I would probably stay at The Gallery Hotel again. I do not recommend this hotel if you are planning to have more than two people per room.
“Great Ambiance”
This charming hotel was the most affordable of ALL the townhouse hotels in the Kensington area. It's one block away from the Museum of Natural History, a short walk to Harrod's and a few short blocks from a tube station. We were very satisfied with this place!
“Good value and convenient”
The hotel is on a fairly quiet street, yet very convenient to the S. Kensington Tube station and bus stop, which made it easy to visit family in Chelsea and to travel to other parts of London. Our standard double room had little extra space, but we weren't in it much other than at night. Service was excellent -- any reasonable request (such as replacing a burned out light bulb) was quickly taken care of.
“Great Location”
Overall we had a good stay. I would say the room was a bit small but the friendly staff and great location made up for any short falls.
“A comfortable stay”
they serve an excellent evening meal, but there is nowhere for a couple to sit on two chairs at a table to eat it in a civilized manner. I suggest they open up the breakfast room or other area for what was well prepared food. The staff was very courteous and helpful.
“Old School Kensington”
Great location, great team - charming property but ready for a bit of a renovation. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
“Great little hotel; perfect location”
A welcoming and friendly hotel just a hop from South Ken station, so very convenient for central London. The canopied bed and mock-Victorian panelling made me feel a bit like an extra in Sherlock Holmes, but I'm sure the yanks love it, bless them. The room was clean and fresh, bathroom a bit shabby but quite adequate. I'd have liked breakfast thrown in for the price, but otherwise a very good stay: would definitely recommend it.
