“can't wait to go back.”
The hotel and rooms were very nice and large. The food at the Italian restaurant was ok but the chinese restaurant by the pier (close by) was awesome for dinner and dim sum. Canary Harf is very far from central London but there is a great Thames Clipper boat that was able to take us on a scenic route to cenral London.
“Exactly as you'd expect”
The Four Seasons is renown for it's service worldwide and the one at Canary Wharf is no exception. The staff is extremely friendly. The rooms were well appointed and very comfortable. They are so thoughtful that they made my daughter a chocolate Easter Bunny (made not bought) on Easter without a request. The only thing I'll say against it is that it isn't very close to downtown. It is still very accessible by Tube or by ferry and it is sometimes nicety be out of the fray.
“First class service through and through!”
The room was luxurious, the facilities were superb, and most importantly the staff were exceptional. I had to leave a day early due to unforseen circumstances and the reception staff went above and beyond their call of duty and help me call up Expedia to organise a refund on the unused night's stay, I cannot recommend this hotel any more highly.
“Great and large room by London standards”
Although a little way out from the main downtown core, there is good transport access (Subway, Docklands railway and clippers). Hotel caters to business people who appear to be the regular traffic. Restaurant for dinner and breakfast seems underutilized. The lounge /bar area demands exhorbitant prices. If you stay away from meals and drinks, a reasonably good value based on the comfort and size of the rooms.
“overall a nice and relaxing stay”
We stayed for a weekend before moving on to Scotland. The area was nice, quiet, relaxing. It was a bit out of the way from central London, but the Thames Clipper was right behind the hotel and made it easy to get to central London. Easier trip to Greenwich. The indoor pool facility was nice but a little difficult to navigate to, as it was really not a part of the hotel but the hotel guests had access to a separate facility. Children were only allowed in the pool daily from 9am-11am. Food in the hotel was only so-so and a disappointment, especially considering the prices on the menu. Typically when we stay at a FourSeasons, they give our child a toy upon check in. We got a not-so-fresh looking bear in the room which my daughter happily played with. The evening before we were supposed to check out, after housekeeping made up the room, I noticed it was gone. Hmmmm....
“Meets One's (High) Expectations”
It is what you would expect of a Four Seasons Hotel in a business area, and of a very high standard. A highlight is access to an excellent adjacent health club. Points to note are that there is no convenience store that is in or immediately near the hotel, that the nearest underground station is a good 10 minute walk away, and that there is a separate charge for Wi-Fi.
“Could do better.”
Lovely Hotel, great position. We went to check in at 3PM, but were told romm wasn't ready!!, which after then waiting 45 mins, lost most of the afternoon. We were actually forgotten about and had to evntually insist we had our room. For the price, I would have expected better than this. However, the hotel did sort out the problem, and we enjoyed our brief stay there. I think you can get better service elsewhere for the money. The views from our room were spectacular, and the staff were all very friendly.
“Very good hotel, but would not pay full price - that's for the business traveller to do”
Pleasant hotel with very helpful and friendly staff. Although the location is not ideal for most major sightseeing, we really enjoyed the boat ride to and from Embankment on our sightseeing days.
“A nice business hotel”
I stayed at the Four Seasons Canary Wharf over a long weekend, mostly because it was a good deal for the level of quality and because I wanted to see Canary Wharf. Overall the experience was good. The hotel is high quality, though with finishes and furnishings that feel a little dated. The staff was friendly and helpful; when I asked for a coffee maker they quickly brought one to my room. The concierge was helpful in providing directions as well. The downside of this hotel is that it has a very businesslike feel -- the interiors are definitely not very imaginative. Also, on the weekend that I was there Canary Wharf was difficult to access via any public transportation besides taxis. The Jubilee Line wasn't running, and there were problems with the other lines as well. The DLR was running, but that's not a great alternative. I mostly ended up using taxis to get to central London. All of this is maybe predictable to someone who visits London frequently or lives there, but as an infrequent visitor it was a little bit of a surprise. All in all, though, the Four Seasons staff did a great job and I'd recommend the the hotel to someone who wants to visit that part of the city.
“I would stay there again”
Room was recently refurbed. Very nice but very small
