Clean room, really friendly staff and awesome breakfast

Very nice and great breakfast! This is on a busy street and the traffic noise is kind of bad. On the back side is train noise but they have pretty good soundproffing and this is London so you have noise everywhere.

A good hotel & location. Breakfast included - a great time & money saver. Very clean. Excellent shower! Our only gripe would be that towels were changed every day unecessarily, despite us leaving them on the rails signalling we didn't need them changed as indicated on the sign in the bathroom.

When staying in London, Southwark is a convenient and low-cost option, if slightly creepy as a place to wander on your own late at night (it's pretty deserted). This hotel offers good rates and is very clean. The rooms are small, but nicely decorated. There is a good cooling/heat system so although it is close to some train tracks, you'll never hear them. The hotel also has very solid windows, which you won't find anywhere, and is one a pretty quiet part of the street. So you're far better off here, close to the Underground and some nice tourist areas such as the Wheel and Tower of London, then in some dump in the West End for more money.

“Excellent selection for 'secret booking'”

This hotel was in a great location. 15 minutes walk from Waterloo. Five minutes to the river and a fantastic pub that did good food and gave a view across the river of St Pauls. We cuold walk to the ceremony we attended in Chancery Lane over BLackfriars BRidge. We walked back to The Globe for supper and it was a ten minute walk back to the hotl from there. The staff were helpful. The breakfast was plentiful and the area very clean.

“Clean, friendly and convenient”

Just back from a 5 night trip to London with my teenage daughter. This was a great, good value, central hotel to use as a base for exploring. Staff were friendly and efficient - breakfast was good and plentiful (but a more high volume toaster would have been good) - lots to see and do on the South Bank just a few mins walk from the hotel and it was in a good location for Tubes and trains. Room was a reasonable size. We were at the back of the hotel so not much night-time noise. Beds were comfortable and linen clean. Shower-room was clean and everything worked as it should. Only complaints were lack of wardrobe and cupboards(open rack to hang clothes on) and it would have been nice to have a fridge to store water etc in. But, other than that fine. I have stayed in higher star rating hotels in London which were not half as nice.

I enjoyed the the central location, which was very near to my acquaintance. There are some good restaurants in the neighborhood of this hotel.

booked the hotel through expedia..very easy and good deal.excellent location...surprisingly decent,acceptably clean and comfortable bed and very soft duvet!!very reasonable and friendly staff..slot for parking with your stay at a very economical price for central london!!recommend this place to people who would like to stay in central london and do not want to waste their time in travelling!!
