“better then expected”

all the staff that we encountered were very pleasent and helpful,the breakfast was very substantial you could have has much as you wanted,just wish the toasters had worked quicker. the hotel was really close to tube and very easy to find.the area appeared a little run down but it looks like they are building in this area and obviously trying to improve the area.would go here again.

“Good price for surprisingly nice hotel”

I was prepared for this place to be questionable, small, and too far away, but it's what I could afford. When I got there though it was a really nice hotel. The staff was friendly and eager to help and getting checked in took practically no time at all. The offered complimentary breakfast every morning in a large and nice dining room/lounge area. They also had comfortable chairs and a large screen TV in the lounge with a small bar off to the side. The room was somewhat small but perfectly laid out to make the most of the space. It was very clean and the beds, though a little firm for my taste, were quite comfortable. WiFi was affordable for 24 hours use and they counted it by hours used, not overall time so as long as you remember to log out after each use it's pretty hard to run out of prepaid time. I really appreciated the fact that since I paid through Expedia they did not have my card on file so I never had to worry about accidentally incurring extra costs. The hotel itself is located just 2 blocks away from the Canning Town Station for DLR (Docklands Light Rail) and Jubliee Line (underground). It was extremely easy to take either of those to most tourist destinations within London.

“Excellent choice for the O2”

Cheaper than the holiday inn express nearer to the o2, but still only 5 mins in a car away. This is a great little hotel - hard to find by car, but you can stop and ask anyone - ask for Canning Town and you'll have no problem! Great location for O2 arena and only a 2 min walk from the nearest tube to take you into London! Very friendly multi-lingual staff who are only too happy to help you, lovely clean and comfortable hotel. Everything you'd expect from a large chain like this, only with a smile behind the desk, instead of the usual grunt!! Thanks for a great stay!

My wife and I have just returned from a three day visit to London and the stay at the Express by Holiday Inn contributed much to the enjoyment of the trip. We found all the staff to be very pleasant and helpful, the rooms were fine and everywhere was kept clean. We also appreciated the breakfast as quite a number of hotels we looked at did not offer this facility. The bar meals were also very good and extremely reasonably priced. Another plus was being able to park the car up for three days with just a couple of minutes walk to Canning Town combined Underground and Bus station. We would definitely use this hotel again and would recommend it to anyone wanting a reasonably priced hotel with easy access to all areas of London.

i definitely enjoyed the hotel, it was VERY close to public transportation which was great. I will definitely stay at another holiday inn if I ever go back to London.

No hotel could be more handy for the O2. Left the concert at 11pm and in bed by 11.15! Hardly the hotel to pick for a holiday in London though. It's far from town and there's little around it other than more of the great Docklands building site.

“Sightseeing visit to London”

Stayed two nights two adults and ten year old, found it easy to get to central London for sight seeing, tube only five minute walk away. Room though small with sofa bed out, was clean and comfrtable. Breakfast was perfect, and all tthe staff friendly and helpfull.
