“Cheap and basic but central”

The reception staff were friendly in the main. I had no need to ask them for any help or information. On the last morning the shower drain blocked and had to be reported. I can only asume it was dealt with. The cost was very reasonable for a well located hotel in London. Very close to good amenities and transport links. I would use the hotel again but feel it could be spruced up a bit, which would make all the difference. The breakfast was very basic but there are lots of nearby places for coffee.

“Don't Expect Much”

Cigarette burn in bed comforter, & I dont smoke. No elevator, very difficult to get luggage up 4 flights of stairs. Only one bath towel to be used as a washclothe, hand towel, and bath towel. No remote control for TV. I informed the front desk of this and never received one. My room was not cleaned after my 2nd night, even though I was gone by 930am and did not return until 11pm. A paperclip stuck in the carpet at the foot of the bedside. The wall socket for the hair dryer had a broken plug prong stuck in it. That is a safety hazard. I only reccomend this hotel if you are staying alone, without your spouse or other family/friends, and you are on a budget. However, it is in a great surrounding location. Finally it is not worthy of a 3 star rating.

“very basic but good location”

If you're after luxury then this isn't the place for you. however, if you need a cheap place to sleep in a good location then the hotel is fine.
