the location of the property was good, however the ameneties in the hotel were terrible. My room smelt of faeces, the tiles on the bathroom floor were broken which is a major health and safety risk because they can cut one's feet if one walks barefoot on them, someone was deliberately putting on the fire alarm in my room at past midnight when l was asleep which could only have been a staff member who had access to the switch at night. my room was in the basement hence my phone did not work throughout my four days stay there as there was no signal in the basement for my network even on chrristmas day. there were ants all over the floor in my room and the mattress was completely worn out and should have been thrown out a long time ago and my bed was broken giving me back ache through out my stay

Worse hotel ever!!!
Overall was a very bad hotel. Staff didn't care at all. Our room was only cleaned once because we complained. The housekeeping didn't changed the dirty towels, they just folded the dirty ones to look like they were clean... Very very bad. We complained at the reception and they just gave us clean towels, didn't even apologised. The room was extremely old and was dirty. Room carpet was very dirty and you have to use slippers all the time otherwise you may get some sort of infection on your feet. Walls were dirty as well. The ONLY good thing was the location, that's it.

Ok for the price, handy to have a kitchenette but the room was so small there was no space to eat. Overall state of the room was not the best but no major complaints. Reception staff friendly and location good (5 min walk to Earls Court tube) it’s down a fairly quiet street which was also nice.

The studio was dirty marks all over walls bed the wall paper was torn off in place wundow ledge was full of dust and dirt windows had mould around the wood there were the last persons little toiletrys still on top of shower screen and half used one on shelf furniture had definatly seen better days broken and marked and freezer part of frudge was full of ice so door didnt close properly there wee some lillte bugs like cornfly size all over shelf under mirror which i video one of and that was just my room was on top floor 3 floors up and lift was broken all 5days so cos i struggle aking and doing stairs had to just go up and down once a day the stairs carpets were filthy and thread bear and the keys never worked on last night i came home before partner to find man on desk asleep and my key didnt work so had to go back down couldn't wake him up until i shook him then he reprogrammed key back up all stairs to find didnt work again 4 times i had to do this and he gave me spare keys but that was id been up and down 3 floors 5 lots of steep stairs cryed i wa in so much pain was so annoyed my partner then came home a hour later said man asleep again and is key didnt even let him in building so e was banging on door for ages untill he evntually woke up and let him in then he had same problem with the keys then when leaving asked us to pay 10 pound to leave luggage after 2pm im really not happy

Bathroom was not clean, mold In the shower and the bathtoom, the room was a little bit better but no sound insulation... We heard our neighbors like they was in our room. The staff of the hotel used to smoke cigarettes just front of our window and leave their cigarettes butts on our window sill. And to finish at the checkout I asked the girl to keep our 2 little luggages, she ask us 10£ per luggage to keep them during the day.

I have stayed at Dylan Apartments a number of times over the past couple of years. There is definitely some rooms in the hotel that are nicer than others. The hotel ignores little things that make a difference, broken light bulbs, no towel racks in the bathrooms, broken toilet tissue roll holders, etc. Kitchenettes are poorly equipped, probably because of attrition due to guests' usage of the crockery, glassware, etc. I have also noticed diminished service by housekeeping during stays. The location is stellar, being within very easy walking distance from the Earls Court tube stop which is on a direct line from Heathrow airport. They seemed to be doing some work to the hotel during my most recent stay, so I hope the fabric of the hotel will be improved. I will probably stay there one more time, giving them a chance to get their act together.

I wish I'd read the reviews before booking...
I've stayed in quite a few budget places before and in the past I've had better stays for less money. I'm really not a particularly picky person. This certainly made for an interesting experience. The rooms aren't accurate to the pictures and could really use some TLC. The kitchenette is a cupboard that features a fridge (ineffective), microwave (doesn't heat food evenly), toaster, hob, sink and some kitchenware. The sink and hob are built in to each other which looks like a fire hazard waiting to happen. You can only use the kitchen electric for 30mins at a time (its on a cut off switch). No washing up products are provided. The bathroom was up 2 steps. The shower head points at the wall and you can't get a good temperature on it. The plughole really needs unblocking as the shower tray was filling up. The only cleaning service is changing the towels if they are on the floor and emptying the bin. The heating in the room is on full no matter what you do and you have to have window open and fan on (in november!) And its still too hot. The lift is broken and there was no hallway lighting on my floor. The receptionist was friendly and did offer to carry my luggage up for me. Pretty sure there's some sort of bugs in the room (not bed bugs but some other type of mite potentially). Bed was relatively comfy but was sleeping in a sauna so not great. If you can't deal with light and noise to sleep you will really struggle here. Really handy for Earl's court and olympia though.

My room was on the top floor over 60 steep steps up with no lift. Wifi didn’t work the first 2 days despite several complaints. Hot water either was too hot or freezing cold all the time. Complain not dealt with. Room was relatively dirty. The phone was a fake phone which didn’t work. The key cards did not work on third night. Rooms were small. Staff were all cold exceot for Annetta who tried hard.

Good location near the Earl’s Court Station. But the room was not clean. We had to turn on the light in the room to turn on the light in the bathroom which was not practical at night. The tile in the shower was moldy. The rooms are not very well soundproofed. And one night we founded our door open when we got back to The appartment.

The hotel was a dump didn’t look anything like the pictures! It was filthy! Not been cleaned since built probably. The only improvement would be to knock it down and start again! I felt like I wanted to burn my clothes after leaving!.. I’m covered in bites!

No hand soap in the bathroom, no bowl with the dishes, no dish soap, drain plug, or sponge in the kitchen. Disgusting, stained walls with paint coming off, tiny elevator leading to the mouldy smelling basement, terrible cell reception and half-assed wifi, rained carpets, shower doors that won’t close, cracked and broken shower floor, window that won’t close, and someone else’s HAIR in the bed, on the floor, and around the shower. Trust the reviews, ladies and gentlemen, this place is disgusting and overpriced for its hostel-level cleanliness.

Amenities in the room were great, but the room itself was tiny. However there were french windows opening out onto a courtyard shared with one other room, with table and chairs, which made it much less claustrophobic. The staff were not very welcoming.

O thought I would try this place out, despite the horrible reviews, my adice is: if something is too good to be true, it is. Listen to all the bad reviews, avoid this place. I arrived a couple weeks ago for a 3 night stay, the initially, it seemed like you were getting what you paid for, and o was ok with that. I just needed a place to stay, nothing fancy. The hallways were so narrow you couldn'ove around in them. I went out to see London, then came back. That's when I will never forget this place, I had my room broken into by the manager, and when I noticed he said he needed to access it to fix something, and that it's only accessible from my room, when I looked , the place he want was accessible by every room on.my corridor, and they were vacant too. He clearly was up to no good. I am instantly packed my bags and left. Never stay here

The condition of the room was unacceptable and disgusting. There were ants, dust, cobwebs and hair in the shower/bathroom amongst other things. There was even dust and hair under the mattress and behind the headboard. Overall I would not recommend this hotel/apartment to anyone and I would not be staying here again even if it was for free.

Absolutely disgusting! Tiny room - Floor dirty - Windows dirty and barley opened - Extractor fan did not work so showers were horrible - TERMITES in the room - Key card didn't work most times. All in all TERRIBLE stay.

WORST PLACE EVER! HAD TERMITES!
Room was absolutely tiny! Had to walk sideways to move around! Toilet door didn't close so had to do my business in front of my partner and the worst thing of all there was TERMITES!!! We had a pizza and the next morning there was termites all over the boxes, floor and bed! No air conditioning and the worst fan ever! Windows hardly opened so all in all it was a terrible stay! NEVER STAY HERE!!!

Room 34. I blame Expedia and Dylan Apts both for their gross misrepresentation of this property. Not a single picture corresponds to the site itself. What is portrayed as a spacious extended stay type property with kitchen & laundry was mere fantasy. There still exists on the hotel front door window the old property name: The York Hotel. (Earl's Court location) It's clear no further investment was made to bring this hotel up to any acceptable standard. The problems include "sugar ants" from the window sill, floorboards and sink, ominous stains on the bed foundation, a space too tiny to be called an "apartment" (the pullout table mounted on the wall was unusable because it's blocked in by the bed and closet, no onsite laundry, a mini fridge whose freezer space was blocked by ice that hadn't been defrosted in ages, & an uninspired staff. No iron board could be offered and when given the iron itself, it was unusable anyway because of it's EU style plug instead of the needed UK style. At that muck up, the clerk merely shrugged his shoulders. And that's about the time i thought it might be more trouble that it's worth to try changing rooms or hotels at such last minute. To be sure, i don't spend vacation stuck in my room anyway. But to get back to that bloody hotel after a full days outing was a soul sucking experience. I understand European hotels can be smaller and minimalist. But at least you expect cleanliness. FULL REFUND EXPECTED.

This property was not what was pictured on Expedia! The rooms we extremely old, taking a shower was always a struggle (the water temp changed every time the shower head moved), the sheets were stained and the bath towels smelled as though they hadn't been washed properly. The walls were paper thin and you could hear everything as though there was nothing separating the rooms from each other. The walls were so thin we could hear both parties of a facetime conversation as if they were sitting in the same room as us. I was very disappointed of the product we received versus the product we were shown on the website.

Always a pleasure check in at any of the Dylan Apartments. The price you pay for the location you stay in and the amenities you get is great value to me. Add to that the brilliant service you always get from the onsite staff then to me it is value for money and I would recommend them.

It's really tiny, but I actually appreciated it. Friendly staff. A lot of smokers in the area and I would somehow get the sleep in my room. I'd stay there again though, prime location for the Tube.

Friendly Staff awful hotel I would avoid it.
The hotel rooms are nothing like the main pictures used by Dylan Apartments. We had 5 rooms and they ranged from awful to horrendous when we said to the receptionist about it apparently the room pictured was full they have one room like that and she wasn’t shocked at all that we weren’t happy.

Ok for a 1 night stay, but based on state of room was expensive, but pretty small. Took ages to figure out how to get shower working which meant that whilst doing this you mainly had a freezing shower as being so compact there wasnt anywhere to stand whilst doing so. Heating didnt work. Door to shower hanging on one hinge, obviously been like this for a while as you could see where attempts have been made to fix it. Think I would be pushed to stay here again im afraid. Receptionist was friendly though. Very near to E.arls Court Tube Station

Good location
Good location, close to tube. We stayed in the basement, disturbed by the sound of the tube trains, basic rooms, advertised as an apartment but I think it should have been left as a double room only, without squeezing in a small kitchen area. The shower and toilet was a wet room but there was a worry the water would go into the bedroom had you stayed in the shower too long. The beds were not made everyday but the staff were friendly. Maybe the rooms upstairs were better but I never saw them.

Less than meets the eye
The room was tiny - just a twin bed in a very narrow space with a small window near the ceiling. It was a garden apartment (half basement) room. There was a little kitchenette, but no surface such as a counter or small table to put a plate on and have your meal, and there was no chair or stool. So eating in the room involved sitting on the bed. The hot water pitcher was broken, the internet connection was unstable, the glass shelf in the bathroom was unhinged and was precariously propped up on its fixture, and the shower door didn't close completely so water always leaked onto the floor. However the lighting was good, there was an elevator and the staff at the front desk were very helpful and professional.

I use Dylan Apartments frequently when on business in London. The rooms are always very clean and have all the facilities you need for a short stay. Staff are always welcoming and very helpful and the locations are such that you have have all the amenities and transport links you need. The quality, price and service are exceptional

The room was better than expected, daily room cleaning, staff are very friendly and welcoming. We had some minor issues with the heater and the hot water which were directly resolved by the staff. Given the price we are paying i doubt we could find a better place in London. Loved it!
