“would definitely go back”

Lovely Victorian era small hotel in a former private residence. Very good location near Sloan Square tube station, easy 5 minute walk. The full English breakfast that was included was especially nice. The furnishings are beautiful and it has a very homey atmosphere. I would absolutely stay there again.

“Ants at breakfast!”

Do not use the Diplomat Hotel unless you enjoy :- - ants running around your breakfast - litter and dust accumulated under your bed - lampshades in the bedroom burnt from overheating lights - paint peeling from window frames - massive damp the full-length of the wall - mould in the shower unit - tiny bathroom just big enough to turn around in - tiny lift just big enough for 2 people to squeeze into Dreadful experience and the owner clearly does not give care about the condition of the hotel or the appalling experience of his guests. The staff did their very best and were very friendly but they cannot make up for the state of the hotel. You have been warned!!

“Wasted1”

Poky little room in roof. Two steep and narrow staircases. Room small and bathroom even smaller. If you dropped the soap while showering you had to stop shower and open door before you coould bend down! Fan provided was ok but noisy and had to turn off during night. Net curtains on windows filthy and paint on window was peeling and frame was cracking. Breakfast was OK and room cool and pleasant.
