“Just Right”
Very convenient, with quality service and facilities, will stay again if back to London.
“Worth a visit”
Stayed mid week with wife and 5 year old. Hotel was clean, staff very helpful, nice restaurant, good location, nice breakfast Buffett for all ages. Close to the Natural history museum and a good base for anywhere with a close by tube. Will use this hotel again
“Nice reasonably priced hotel in Kensington”
Hotel has been recently redone. Very nice rooms and lobby. Convenient to underground station across the street. Walking distance to Hyde Park and museums. Very enjoyable stay.
“Crowne Plaza London Kensington - excellent service and location”
I was satisfied with this location - it was close to shops, restaurants, train station etc. The hotel staff provided an excellent service and the room was well maintained.

The Crowne Planza is centrally located in Kensington. Cross the street and you have easy access to the Gloucester Tube Station, even if you're not used to the subway system everything is clearly marked, all you have to know is which direction you're headed. At this location you also have access to the hop on hop off buses, a must for first time visiters to London. From the Crowne Plaza, you are within walking distance to Hyde Park, Kensington Palace, High street , Museum of Natural History, Marble Arch and Harrods . Next to the Tube is Waitrose super market, the baked goods are the best . To eat well on the cheap Marks & Spencer Food Hall on High Street cannot be beat. The food in London has improved greatly since my last visit in 2002. However if you're a non-smoker go to restaurants at off-peak times, or be prepared for second hand smoke
“Great location”
Just returned from our first trip to London and can't wait to go back. We chose the Crowne Plaza Kensington because we wanted 1 room big enough for our family of 4 (2 teenagers). The room had 2 doubles and was large by European standards. The bathroom was also large with great water pressure in the shower. The hotel is literally steps from the underground (mind the gap) and within easy walking distance of Knightsbridge shopping (Harrods) and restaurants. The immediate neighborhood around the hotel is lovely with many cafe's and restaurants. We all absolutely loved it and would definately stay there again.
“Great hotel!”
We were upgraded to an executive room when we arrived-had a beautiful view of the park. The staff was very helpful with directions and suggestions. We would love to go back!
“Great Hotel - Lousy Chain of Command”
This is a great hotel in a fabulous location. Only one elevator was working while we were there as they are moderniziing them. This is a minor inconvenience. One gripe I had was with internet service. They advertised free WiFi in all rooms but apparently it had just been deployed and did not work in any of the three rooms we had. When I asked for help I was told to pay for the $15/day service and maybe the General Manager would comp the service later. But no guarantees. Needless to say it took nearly 4 days for the messages to filter back and forth and they finally, grudgingly agreed to comp the service. From a customer service perspective, that should have been a 5 second conversation to agree to substitute the one working provider for the other that was not. It all worked out, but was an un-necessary annoyance. (The GM will probably write a very clever reply but it doesn't diminish the reality of this badly handled situation.)
