“Next Year Hopefully!”
We stayed at this hotel last year and we couldn't wait to go back this year. The staff are very friendly - they even remembered us from last year! The rooms are a good size and breakfast is very nice. We would recommend it to everyone who wants value for money and a very good deal. Looking forward to next year!
“A Very Nice Surprise”
Having stayed in a several fairly inexpensive hotels in the Bayswater area in the past, I had my fingers crossed that this hotel would meet my minimal expectations: a bed that didn't keep me up all night, enough hot water for a shower, not too much noise outside, a clean bathroom, and a smoke-free room that wasn't full of cigarette smoke residue. The Central Park Hotel exceeded all of these expectations. The hotel had been fairly recently remodeled, and some remodeling was still in progress (but was not disruptive). There were three working elevators--something not all similar hotels have--plus each room had a safe and a small refrigerator. Had we wanted it, hookup for a laptop was also available in each room. Staff members were friendly and helpful. Although we did not eat in the restaurant, the bar was clean and comfortable. The negative comments here about this hotel seem to be from Americans who are not used to European hotels. They generally complain about room and bathroom size--but they need to remember that most of these hotels are converted nineteenth-century townhouses. The Central Park was a great value for the money. If your idea of a vacation hotel is to lounge in luxury and eat haute cuisine in your room between dips in the pool, don't stay here. But if you are looking for a comfortable, affordable hotel in a wonderful location--basically a nice place to sleep and bathe if you plan to spend your time out enjoying London--you can't do better.
“nous y retournerons”
Petit dejeuner tres moyen ,
“Excellent rapport qualité / prix”
Parfait. Très propre, au calme, bien desservi par les transports et proche du centre.
“if you don't spend your vacation in a hotel then it's perfect”
Bare minimum, clean, good enough unless you run out of ideas about what to do with your money. Very close to 2 underground stations. Queensway can quickly take you to the center of the city. Use Bayswater for the airport. Would stay there again.
“Good accomodation for any purpose.”
It is nice hotel, very clean and with perfect location for shoping and business purpose. I have only one trouble than I was not allowed to store my luggage between check-out that was in 11am and flight at 11 pm. A lot of small restaurants and shops around and exellent Kensington park right near the hotel.
“Great Value!”
This hotel was in a great neighborhood - lot's of ethnic restaurants, close to a tube stop and basically across the street from Kensington Gardens. The hotel was clean, the staff were friendly and the price was right. If you are expecting an American-sized hotel, you'll be disappointed. The rooms are small, but they are clean and have all the amenities - bathroom, small TV and even a small fridge. We were so pleasantly surprised by the quality of the hotel, especially after some of the negative reviews we read. I would say that this hotel is definitely worth it! (April 2006)
“Would return”
Would return to this hotel if or when go to London again.
