I have to say that the hotels location is great and the room I was in was very quiet at night. However, there are a lot of stairs to get to the third floor and it was a little tricky with luggage. The carpet on the stairs could do with replacing. The third floor smelled strongly of damp! The room itself was okay, but again it could do with a few repairs - the ceiling light not fitted properly and neither was the bathroom door handle. The shower was tiny, I’m not that big and it felt claustrophobic, even though the doors didn’t close properly! The bathroom window didn’t open and the bedroom window was difficult to open/close. Finally, I left the sign on room door asking for the room to be made up in the morning and when I came back that night the towels and bins had been changed and emptied but the bed was unmade. The buffet breakfast was nice. Experience was not bad, but could definitely have been much better.
