Close to All You Need

Posted 12-Aug-2014
Pros: I liked how accessible everything was from this hotel whether I was going on a tour or just wanted to grab some food.
Cons: I think that expanding their Wifi reach within the hotel would be good. It was a struggle getting signal from where I was on the 3rd floor
Location: The underground is very near by. There are restaurants stores very near as well. It is also a fairly nice location to look around as well.
This hotel was quite nice. It was kept very clean daily by the hotel staff. The staff also always said hello when walking by the front desk and they were very accommodating for any kind of needs you may require. This hotel is very close to Pimlico station and is also but a brief walk to Victoria station. It is reasonably close to the river and you can walk to most places from here.

Close to Travel and places for tourists

Posted 26-Jun-2014
Pros: Proximity to the subway
Cons: See my experience above. A small food centre would be nice too.
Location: Live Theater, restaurants, Tourist buildings including one of the Queens homes, Museums, parks
Mostly good. I discovered the hard way that if you book the hotel room using Expedia and/or Air Miles Points you do not get any credit on the bonus card. I do not understand why if a third party pays my way and I have chosen to stay at YOUR hotel that I would not get any benefits. Where is the HOTEL's loyalty to me for specifically choosing you. In other words, and to make it very clear, why should I choose you again. This has now happened three times at a Best Western in London England.

Staff was very nice and helpful.

Pros: The staff and how close it was to everything I needed.
Location: Easy walk to restaurants, buslines, train stations, Buckingham Palace, Parlament, the Thames, etc.
The room was small, but I expected that. Easy walk to restaurants, buslines, train stations, Buckingham Palace, Parlament, the Thames, etc. As I said, the staff was very nice and helpful, whenever I asked for anything.

Convenient location with all you need

Perfectly fine hotel. Single room was smallish but suitable as it was only for 2 nights for a family wedding. Location good only 10-15 min walk to Victoria station for underground, national rail and good bus links. The only slight issue was that the room was very hot - due to a very unexpected heatwave in August - ventilation was very poor but there was a small fan in the room but even with the fan going and the window open (road is quite noisy) it remained very hot in the room. I had room only but there are plenty of cafes nearby for breakfast/coffee if required.

strictly bed and breakfast, not a hotel

Posted 17-Aug-2012 on Hotels.com
I cannot think of a reason for the hotel to have 4 stars. It was exactly a 3 star experience. I stayed with my son. The room was barely larger than the bed and the table. We didn't get the twin bed as we ordered. The room was much smaller than anything on the pictures. Breakfast was very simple and not until 10 AM was as the kitchen lady shoved us out at 9:30. The free wireless internet was not true because the signal was too weak even on the first floor. Otherwise, the receptionists were very friendy and helpful, rooms were clean, and location was okay, just a 5 minute walk from Victoria. But the size of the room, scarce breakfast, and lack of the primised internet were quite inconvinient. Never staying there again. It was great for a 3-star bed and breakfast place, but not for a 4-star hotel.

Satisfactory

Posted 13-Aug-2012 on Hotels.com
Hotel is in a convenient location and was satisfactory for the night. It was clean and the hotel provided very good service. The rooms are small and need some updating. I would have called this a 3-star, not a 4-star hotel.
